I think with Matt and Trey it's less about "pushing an agenda" and more about satirizing things they find funny.
I mean, you can basically feel how the episodes are being made. They're sitting around in the writing room just BS'ing about how people on Yelp can be so self-righteous, they start riffing about it, and boom, it's an episode. I think that's more of how they develop the show, rather than setting out to push an agenda.
And I love the trend they've moved towards in the last few years where the episodes in a season are all connected, they build on eachother.
Like last season (or maybe 2 seasons ago now) where they said Butters was suspended because he tried to burn down the gym. So for half the season, the gym is all burned up on the inside
