Re: The Avengers (May 4th, 2012)

Just got back and I loved it! As an Avengers fan boy all my life, it was a dream come true seeing the characters together. This for me is right up there with TDK as the best superhero flick. At least until TDKR comes out.

That's how you bring a superhero/super team to the big screen.
Edward Norton was a better Hulk IMO really wanted all the main characters to stay the same but contract negotiations with Norton broke down

Re: The Avengers (May 4th, 2012)

I saw the Avengers opening day on the first showing in the morning. I felt the movie was pretty good. But I must be in the really small minority here because I didn't like the movie as much as the ravings I've been noticing.

As mentioned by other posters, the Hulk stole the show for me and when you see the movie, you'll know why. Mark Ruffalo did a great job and his role in this movie probably suited him more than Edward Norton. So no complaints with the Bruce Banner change. In fact, every member of the Avengers did a fantastic job with their role.

The movie started off nicely, but it slowed down when they all first assembled and something to do with their group arguments just felt a little too forced to me. I didn't like how the plot seemed too simplistic and Loki brought some what of a campy vibe to some of his scenes.

But considering how many super heroes needed to be fitted into this movie and understanding that they must work together to fight off something that's worthy of their strengths, I'd say they managed to pull it off.

Is Whedon in control of this franchise like Nolan is with Batman? I want HIM directing all the Avengers and nobody else.

If you like Joss Whedon, go see his other flick out, The Cabin in the Woods.

              Very very good as well.

                AWESOME!

I took my two boys and two of my nephews and saw it in 3D yesterday and it more than lived up to the hype.

I am not a comic book or superhero fanatic, but this movie was amazing.

That was my favorite part too but there was actually a lot of funny parts.

I think you're spoiler is showing.

Great movie, so much so that I watched it twice..in one day which I've NEVER done for any movie.

Not a comic book reader or none of that but, this movie made me feel like a little kid again almost. The Hulk was nothing less of what I expected and all the other characters we're very good as well. I would definitely pay for aq Hawk-eye(not sure if spelled right) movie.

                            Spoiler

Edit: lol had to fix what I quoted on because, what you had meant to put in spoilers was still showing in my reply to you're quote which isn't really a spoiler to anything big just a small detail in the movie.
