Not to derail the thread, but what exactly constitutes a spoiler.. especially when it comes to a teaser or who will be the villain.

I personally don't think any of those two things are spoilers at all. I certainly do understand that not everyone learns about new info at the same pace as others, but the content of the info should be the main thing.

I could understand a plot nugget or twist being in a spoiler, but a trailer/teaser/character inclusion? If those three things would be considered a spoiler, at what point would they not be considered a spoiler? A month before release? Two months? When we see an official trailer on commercials? IDK.

My view is that ANY content that is revealed that will be in the actual medium can be constituted as a spoiler. Trailers, in essence are spoilers. I find this to be true in many movies with comedic moments. By definition, you are "ruining" the actual moment that that particular information first is presented in the actual product. I wouldn't tell you a joke by letting you know that the punch will be a certain line at the end, then proceed to do so, then repeat the punchline.

The indication of the villian in a definitive sense is absolutely a spoiler to the individual who wants to wait to see the ACTUAL movie and the uncovering of that particular character. In a related example, you will see the official movie poster for The Avengers, but there is the off chance that an additional hero not on the poster is inserted into the story at some point. Any discussion or revelation about that character ahead of time spoils the potentially intended surprise by the producer. One assuming that the general public will eventually have knowledge of any details of the medium is a poor assumption.

I think sometimes people reveal information that one could constitute as a spoiler because it has a bit of a competitive edge to it. In other words, "I have some information for you that you don't and I'm going to give it to you first."

Yeah went on a series of marathons and watched the whole season. Enjoyed it immensely, it's a really well done show.

I am still just amazed that this movie is actually coming out at all. With all the egos and moving parts needed to get this done, it's crazy that everything was able to get worked out.

The Avengers trailer was sick.... I went to threaters to see Captian America and had to argument with a friend that we should stay to watch it. Pretty sick. I just want to see how they bring all this talent together. Should be really good or really bad lol.

Really good.

No way it's bad IMO. Marvel has built this up through 5 movies to get to this point. Plan was laid out since Iron-Man. They know what rests on this.

It's also the first Disney published Marvel film, so expect TONS of marketing and advertising. Even more so than Captain America had.

I will say I remember when hearing about the Avenger. I thought.... Watch one of the actors dies before they even get to filming lol.
