Maybe where they lack is developing less popular characters, but Marvel's go at it hasn't been the greatest. The Fantastic Four/Xmen films are mediocre at best and it took Hulk a couple of go arounds to have something special. I liked Iron Man, and I'm not saying Marvel is laying a bunch of eggs. I love that these characters are coming to film. Who would have thought we'd see a Thor movie?

I think though that the DC representation in film has been small but impressive.
Yeah, but the two FF movies made over half a billion dollars worldwide, despite their mediocrity. The better Xmen movies (4 of them)made 1.5 billion worldwide. It's all about the money.

It'll probably more modernized though not the one Steve Rogers wears these days in the comics.

It'll be interesting to see how they pull that off without making it seem like you're watching segments rather than a whole film.
I understand what you mean, look at movies like the Oceans series, its perfectly do-able. However this is a Superhero movie. We've seen all these characters as the Sole hero in their world (except for the Hulk) and now for them to come to together and share equal time is sort of a hard thing to imagine.

Roberto Downey's character in Ironman is a very "Me" sort of character. He has to be the attraction of the moment. But i guess they can use that as a personality fault in the movie. I just think it'll be harder than it looks to get this movie off correctly.

I love how Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, and Thor all tied in stuff leading up to The Avengers movie. Cannot wait for this.

I was thinking of this at the end of Thor. My friend and I sat there and watched about 80% of the crowd walk out at the credits. And this was at the midnight showing. I thought for sure those there would know enough to sit and see what plays at the end of the credits.

But it does have the potential to be a mess..... not enough celluloid available for all the characters present, unless it's an extensively long movie. And, please, Samuel L. Jackson's agent, please be dissatisfied with the contract and pull your client out of the movie.

I love Samuel L Jackson, love him. Don't like Nick Fury being black though. Or was Fury actually black in the comics or something?

I'm confused then. Why have I seen Fury as a white guy in cartoons?!?

The movies Fury is based off the Ultimates version.
