Can't see how many people love Rakim and 2Pac. 2pac was a rapper with below average lyrics and a horrid flow. Rakims music was audio nyquil.

Snoop hasn't sounded like he's cared for at least the last 10 years. No way he should be anywhere near a list with the greatest anything in it after his "Doggystyle" album.

Tell me about it. Great lyricists, entertaining albums (when u first get them), but hardly has any timeless songs in his catalog that are relate-able

I agree with you on that also. Everybody on that list is great in their own way. I use to care about who was the greatest ever but then I learned that is not possible to list the greatest easily if you are not being bias to one person or one coast

It wasn't the music that made Rakim a great rapper, it was how he rapped and his lyrics. You're one of the few to feel that way about Pac. He wasn't the best lyricist, but not many rappers are honestly. I still think he wrote good enough lyrics and the way he delivered them was great in my opinion. Not to mention some of his songs really hit home, like Brenda's Got A Baby, Dear Mamma, and Keep Your Head Up.

I would have said this too before his last album. Em has shot to the top or right around w/ Recovery. I think he deserves to be mentioned in the top 4-5.

I can see the debate of Eminem being top 5 in lyrical ability and rhyme scheme. But his inability to make records that hold up over time keeps him from being overall top 5 IMO.

I cherish Em's first two albums, anything after that is meh after the first play thru.

Hopefully the Royce collabo will be special

Ehhh, I know Recovery was a love it or hate it album, but people forget that The Eminem Show was really solid.

Tough one. Tie between Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne.

In all seriousness I'd have to say The Wu Tang Clan as a whole. With GZA being, in my opinion, the greatest out of the group.

Love the Wu. Deck was my favorite MC out of the group, followed by GZA and Method Man.
