Re: Terra Nova (a Steven Spielberg series)

It's got some cheesy moments but tv on Monday's is slow so I'm still tuned in.

The first episode was all, "Don't be outside the gates at night. The dinos are dangerous" Then every episode somebody is going outside the gates at night, alone sometimes even.

It needs to start going somewhere though instead of almost stand alone episodes that aren't really advancing the overall story a whole lot.

I'm losing interest fast. The last few episodes have been too stand alone. They have a problem, they fix the problem in an hour. They should really start pushing the over-arching storyline soon.

I had to roll my eyes when two guys were outside the gates and heard a noise and one asked: "What is that?"

Oh, I don't know, something dangerous since you're outside the gates and there's dinosaurs running around.

That's what you call bad writing.

So who watched all of this?

I thought it was pretty good. Thought the ending set up a second season nicely.

On a side note, I hope if JP4 ever gets made they use animatronics, the fake CGI dinos at least in TN were pretty lame.

I stuck around for the whole thing. It was pretty meh. Some of the dialogue was painful though.

Does anyone know if it got a second season?

I've still got the last two episodes on DVR to watch then I'm done with the season. I would describe it as 'ok' but with that budget they could have done so much better!

I stopped watching cause it got kinda meh...it wasn't bad, but just didn't have anything that really hooked my gf and I. There's too many shows that we'd like to watch, so if we don't care we end up not watching what we recorded

It's a pretty interesting show, it has some major plotholes in it but it's entertaining enough for me to watch every week.

Officially canceled by Fox but it is being shopped to other networks now.

With that budget, the chances of it being picked up by a Network is slim at best. The only thing Industry execs reckon could happen is that SyFy buys the name and re-invents it with their low budget so it's a shell of what it once was.
