Re: *** Survivor Season 23: South Pacific ***
- We learned Rancher Rick does have a voice. With all his scenes last night, I think he has passed Whitney for airtime.
- lol at Coach and Lil Hantz exchaning I Love You's during TC
- Jim is an absolute mastermind. I noticed he saves his "negative" comments for the confessionals. He has played a flawless game right now.
- You didn't think it could happen but Ozzy's social game is even worse than his other 2 seasons. Telling everybody you're a free agent and than revealing you have the HII to the whole tribe is extremely stupid. Ozzy went from the top of heap to the bottom all because of Jim's move to target Elyse.
- I think what has made this season so enjoyable is that we have several very smart players and a nice dose of craziness.Comment

Re: *** Survivor Season 23: South Pacific ***
This was one of my favorite pre-merge episodes of all-time. It was so good I will probably rewatch certain parts.
Off the top of my head:
- I still crack up when reality tv contestants think God/Jesus gives a crap about how they want him/her to win. The editors even added a sound effect when Brandon pointed to the sky after Coach gave the victory speech
- lol at Coach pushing Edna to the ground and saying "get on your knees, get on your knees"
- What the hell is Ozzy thinking? As a viewer I love the move because of the drama it provides. On a game level, it's extremely risky and frankly stupid. He basically self evicted himself and if he doesn't win the challenge he's gone from the game. It's obvious Christine doesn't give a **** about her old tribe so she would probably flip anyways. Ozzy is setting himself up for one of the dumbest moves of all-time.
- Cochran had me rolling all night. Between his pasty body, sucking at the challenge, and all his wise cracks, he's easy to root for. The casting department hit Gold with Cochran.
- What was the whole point of keeping the HII a secret and than telling the rest of the tribe?
- Watching Jack and Jill is considered a reward? This was the biggest punishment of the season.Comment

Didn't Christine say after a RI challenge that there is no way she's going back to her tribe? I can't believe Ozzy thinks she is as dumb as Matt was last season going back to the tribe that voted her off. I hope Ozzy loses in the RI challenge next week.

It's stupid for Ozzy to go to RI. It's also stupid for everybody in his tribe besides Cochran.
Let's say Cochran gets voted out and loses to Christine (odds are good this happens), Christine would mostly likely join Ozzy's tribe. Ozzy has the HII and would basically be the first target of the other tribe because he's a huge physical threat. He plays the HII and than his tribe would have the numbers. If I'm on Ozzy's tribe I also want him to stick around because he will be viewed as a bigger threat than me.
I hope Ozzy loses although I like the double agent plan if they can somehow pull it off. I would love to see the faces of the other tribes once they learn Cochran stabbed them all in the back.Comment

Yeah she said that. She even gave the finger to Rancher Rick after he tried to offer a few words of encouragement.

The problem for me though, is that I like the Red tribe a whole lot more than the purple one, so I don't want to see them lose.

Re: *** Survivor Season 23: South Pacific ***
This season may end up in my Top 3 of all-time. I've really enjoyed every episode.
I'm torn if this was a good move by Cochran. On the surface it looks like he moved from the number 6 position on his tribe to number 7 on the other tribe. I can understand why his tribe would be pissed. Ozzy was willing to risk his Survivor life to help his tribe and Jim protected Cochran when he got Elyse booted. Cochran might have also tossed away a couple of jury votes too. If they went down to rocks, his tribe probably would have won and than they would have had the numbers to pick off the other tribe one by one. On the flip side, it would be a horrible way to go out on drawing rocks.
I think this proves you can play a flawless game like Jim and still be put in a bad spot just by one move. I have to imagine Ozzy and Jim are now on the chopping block.
Other thoughs:
- What a horrible acting job by Ozzy. I wasn't surprised the other tribe knew he was BSing. If they voted out Cochran last week they probably wouldn't be in their position now.
- lol at Brandon telling Jim that's not how you treat people and than telling Cochran to stay close to him. Brandon's like 5'6 and he bullied Mikayla around.
- lol at Rick's face during the first vote when Probst read his name out.
- Who would have thought Coach would be in the best position right now. The Dragon Slayer has really improved his game the 3rd time on Survivor.Comment

When did they switch to drawing rocks? Pretty stupid. Should still be who can make fire.Comment

Re: *** Survivor Season 23: South Pacific ***
Very few people want to risk drawing rocks because of this situation. I like the fire challenge better but I guess they feel like Probst would have a hard time keeping track of everybody.Last edited by VanCitySportsGuy; 11-02-2011, 09:32 PM.Comment

Re: *** Survivor Season 23: South Pacific ***
The drawing of rocks has only happened once and that was in Season 5: Marquesas. In that season it was down to the final 4 and it was 2 vs. 2 in the votes. Whoever drew the purple rock from the bag was out of the game which happened to be Paschal (he never even received a single vote up to his exit).

I wish they would change the rule so where if there is ever a tie even after the re-vote, than the 2 people nominated will compete in a fire challenge.Comment
