I also don't think Sophie would risk turning on her tribe this early. There's no reason to make a "big move" when you don't have to.

So it would of been 6 for Keith, 5 for the Upulo member, and 1 for Ozzie or someone else.

Keith would of still been voted out.. and although Cochran didn't follow the tribe, he didn't vote for them either.
I think all that would accomplish is to alienate himself from both tribes and show that he's now loyal to no one. It would show that he turned his back on his tribe but doesn't side with the other. That's shooting himself in the foot.

People do desperate things when their neck is on the chopping block. He doesn't have to win her over himself. He'd need the other 3 to do that part.

They do have to. Her and Albert will be the first to go when the tribe starts to cannibalize itself. Coach is going to want to take crazy *** Brandon and worthless Edna to the end with him. Rick's dumb *** has already sided with Coach over Albert once.

You'd have them do what so many clueless Survivors have done in the past and wait to make a move when there is no move left to make.

He should know that's the plan. But that's the reason why he needs to go and try to make a move. If he doesn't know that he's next to go after the 2 remaining Savaii are voted out, he's not as smart as he looks. Like Sven said, people get desperate. Dawn is already desperate and knows that she's next to go. If Whitney is smart, she'll make up with Cochran and see if they could team up with a couple Upulo members.

You think so? If he were to use the same excuse that he didn't want rocks to decide his fate, so he decided to vote for, let's say Ozzie, or even himself, then I think some in the tribe would at least be willing to talk to him. But doing what he did, basically revealing the plans of Savaii, is what alienated him.

Using the rocks/fate excuse is just a cop out for not going with his original tribe.

These guys have to know that the tribe will be split into alliances of 3 or more.. They'll have to make a move sometime.

According to a lot of other Survivor fans, yes that's how it would go. Now of course Survivor has never released a list of official rules so they reserve the right to do whatever they want.

As for the talk of big moves, I think Sophie and Cochran are better off waiting until it gets down to the final 7. It looks like Coach/Edna/Brandon are together. Albert and Sophie are together. Rancher Rick has said 5 words all season so even it appear he leans towards Coach, I think he could be convinced to go either way.

              I hope we don't get a Edna/Rancher Rick/Keith Final 3.

If Rancher Rick was in the final 3 they would be showing more of his interviews I think.

Generally this is true for most seasons but Natalie Tenerelli barely had any confessionals last season and she was in the final 3. In Samoa, Natalie White didn't have a lot of confessionals and she won the game.

Re: *** Survivor Season 23: South Pacific ***

I wouldn't mind if the Ponderosa videos get posted here each week since CBS.com doesn't allow you to watch them if you're outside the US.

Survivor has been renewed for another 3 seasons. Probst will be back as the host. The ratings are still very strong. I think there's a chance we eventually get to at least Season 40.

As for last night's episode, would Rancher Rick shut up? He talks way too much and is hogging all the screentime.

I listed to Jim on Rob C's podcast and he said every player was going to take Cochran to the final 3. Jim being the first jury member raises an interesting question. Would anybody here consider Edna a better player than Jim? Edna has done nothing all season (she even sat out a lot of challenges) yet she lasted longer than Jim. I consider Jim the better player. I thought he played a really good game but Cochran flipping killed his game.

Edit: I just clicked on the videos and it says "the uploader has not made this video available in your country: arghhh

Just because someone last longer that doesn't make them the better player in my eyes. Jim was playing a beautiful game until Cochran flipped and they were completely outnumbered. There was really nothing he could do at that point.

This is the debate that has been going on since the show started. We are both on the same side but I know other people that feel like if you lasted longer, than you are automatically the better player.

Sandra is the only 2 time winner in Survivor history but I wouldn't call her the best player of all-time (my vote goes to Parvati).
