Pearl Jam- Ten
The Wallflowers- Bringing Down The Horse
Metallica- Metallica
Candlebox-Candlebox
Alice in Chains- Dirt

Ten may be the best cd I have ever heard.

I gotta say, I'm surprised there hasn't been more Odelay love. That album just blew me away when it came out.

I had an idea of what my Top 5 would be coming into this thread, but after reading all the responses, there's zero way I can name my favorite 5. There were far too many classic albums, from rock to metal to alternative to hip-hop to even country (Garth Brooks No Fences anyone?!).

It's ridiculous how spoiled I was growing up as a youth in the 1990's with all the great music we had.

Wow...so many great albums in the 90s. The 5 that come to mind right away for me (in no particular order):

Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle
Dr. Dre - The Chronic
Nirvana - Nevermind
Pearl Jam - Ten
Metallica - Black Album

Re: "Old Farts"...What's your Top 5 Albums of the 1990s?

Weezer - Blue
Weezer - Pinkerton
Sublime - Sublime
Incubus - Make Yourself
Blink 182 - Enema of the State

The last two may not be the best albums and came out in 99, but I listened to the crap out of both of those.

Best thing about the 90's was the quality of every genre of music. Oh and MTV still showed music videos.

AA, that damn Lisa Loeb song would always get stuck in my head. But "I Do" was somehow even more catchy.

She was so damn sexy in those glasses.

I also had a major crush on Shirley Manson of Garbage.

Damn, I forgot about Weezer - Pinkerton too, which someone just mentioned. Throw that in my mix of Top 10ish 90's albums - which is what this thread is turning into for me.

I could never rate them, they are all just in the conversation.

Although, just because of the amount of times I've listened to it and the memories that happened surrounding it, I will always regard 40 Oz. to Freedom as my "favorite" album of all time, not just the 90's. Not the best I've heard, just always there like an old security blanket.
