Mine was rooting for the Redskins v. Raiders in Super Bowl XVIII. Too bad they got their butts handed to them. The next year though, my favorite team at the time the 49'ers clobbered Miami, which was nice. I lost interest in the 9'ers once both Rice/Montana were gone.

I thought the Broncs were going to run them over after those two quick scores and then Williams just took over.

1991 World Series. I was a month away from turning 4. Very hazy though.
First better-defined memories were watching the 1992 Dream Team play while we were on a family trip to Cancun that summer.Comment

That game had one of the single greatest beatdowns in SB history! Nowadays you have announcers all over Brady's jock (or whoever is hot at the moment) but when Madden and Summerall were praising Montana it was more than well deserved that night.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: What's your earliest sports memory?
2002 mNCG. Ohio State vs. Miami. I had dislocated my elbow so they kept me overnight, the night of the game. For some reason I was a HUGE McGahee fan and I remember being so sad when they lost, I woke up the kid who had his tonsils out in the next room.
One thing that also sticks out was SB45. I was a big Rams fan. and seeing that loss, crushed me.
I just have terrible luck. I've never had a team win a championship while I was a fan.Last edited by WyxHarmon; 06-27-2011, 12:38 AM.HoosiersPacersPhilliesRavens

Watching Michael Johnson run during the '96 Olympics. I'm not sure why of all things that is my earliest sports memory, but I remember wanting his gold cleats.Comment
