I don't think Jonah's inclusion was supposed to be particularly memorable. I think it was just supposed to catch the audience off guard. The first time they show him its low light and he's next to someone else, so it kind of makes you wonder if it was him, I actually heard someone behind me whisper "Is that Jonah Hill!?" and then he has his lines and its just one of those out of nowhere things. Unfortunately they kind of ruined it by showing that part in the trailer.

That's the thing. It is one thing that he had a small part. But, by showing him in the trailer, it would lead someone to think he had a bigger role. If they hadnt showed him in the trailer, than it would be more of a surprise.

We saw it again last night and it was just as good. Like Will, this was the first time I've ever seen a movie twice in theaters.

There was alot of movies I passed on(last movie I saw in theaters was Safe House). To see this movie, tells me how good it was saw. Heck I cant even play video games twice after I beat it once. I watched it the 2nd time with better understanding and it still felt like I didnt see it before.

            Re: Django Unchained

I saw this last night. As a full-fledge movie experience few directors come close to matching Tarantino with this. It is amazing how much he has fleshed out his movies since the minimalist stylings of Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. With Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained everything just works together like cogs of a finely tuned machine elevating every aspect of the movie. The soundtrack, the dialogue, the flashes of comedy, the torrents of action, and the performances just all went together to really make one of the most epic feeling westerns since Leone was directing. You can tell Tarantino has a love for movies because he "gets" them and how special they can be.

Typically I'm all for comparing films, but I just cannot compare this to my other top favorite of the year yet, Looper. The two are so different in overall tone and style, but both are executed almost flawlessly. 1a and 1b most likely.

Foxx really blew me away. Coming into this I was still imagining what Idris Elba would have done, but coming out I couldn't imagine anybody but Foxx in that role. Waltz was superb and I just love listening to him talk in both this and Inglorious Basterds. I hope he continues to work with Tarantino because the two compliment each other like few actor-director combinations. All the guest stars/cameos were awesome which surprised me after so many scheduling conflicts led to recasting. The KKK scene was probably the most hilarious scene and completely absurd lol (side note: Anybody else want to see a western where Don Johnson and Kevin Costner are cowboy brothers?).

I really loved the way this movie unfolded. It didn't give you an outline within the first 5 minutes and follow it through to the end. The story progressed and revealed itself as if it was really happening then. My expectations for what was next were non-existent and I had no idea how things would play out.

It's hard for me to pick out favorite scenes because its full of special moments, but ******* was this a badass ride.

Maybe its just me and my audience, but I felt some people were laughing at some wrong parts. Like random parts of dialogue or random parts of action, which honestly I didn't think was too over-the-top gory other than the buckets of blood lol.

What's sad is that I've not seen a Tarantino flick save for Django Unchained. Well, I've seen some of Kill Bill Vol I and some of Kill Bill Vol II. I'm going to purchase Pulp Fiction today though. Read A LOT of great things about it. Gets pretty high praise.

Please make sure Reservoir Dogs and Inglourious Basterds are part of that collection as well.

excellent movie, one of the best ive seen this year, and there were some great performances

The entire soundtrack is awesome also, especially "Who did that to you" by John Legend and "Ancora Qui" by Elisa and Ennio freaking Morricone. I wouldn't be surprised to see either of these songs nominated for best original song. It would be cool to see Morricone finally win an Oscar
