Didn't know if anyone could offer any advice...
I was having tons of trouble with connecting to the internet (Bright House Networks is our local Tampa, FL cable/internet provider). Using the modem they provide and the Netgear router, I was unable to connect to the internet (or terribly spotty at best).
Long story short... Their tech guy came out yesterday. We thought (well, he did) that the router had gone bad. Even he couldn't connect with his laptop. What we discovered is that my PC could not connect when my laptop was on. The laptop is flooding the router to the point it cannot connect - nothing can. But when the laptop is shut completely off the problem goes away.
He stated I have something called "IP Flooding Virus." I bought the laptop 3 years ago at BestBuy (Toshiba). I don't know all the specifics on it. I'm a tech moron. The other problem is that a year ago my wife spilled Diet Pepsi on it. I was able to get it working but now the "E" and "T" keys don't work (so I cannot phone home).

I use a plugged in usb keyboard - not ideal but it works. I don't know how to fix this stuff myself. Is it worth taking back to Geek Squad (who did all the original stuff on my laptop when I purchased it)? What should I be aware of? Will they try to take advantage of me?
Would appreciate any help here... I give a lot back to the community in the way of rosters and this really puts a crimp in my ability to do this because my PC is a mile away from my 360, so all that is on hold.
Thanks! mike
