I think him staring at the dead cops reminded him of him and Shane before it hit the fan.
Good episode, I think that Shane and Andrea could end up going off on their own. After the season is over I'm going to pick up the graphic novels, try to read them or get through whats most likely to be covered in season 3.Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
I've come to the conclusion that I'd roll with Shane over Rick, I usually agree with the decisions Shane makes, and don't really think anything he's done is worth all the vitriol from the group. Rick is kind of annoying like his wife. That's the great thing about the show, everything is up for interpretation no real good or bad guys in my opinion, I can see everybody's side. The only thing about the story that irks me is how Dale somehow knew that Shane shot the fat guy, I rarely see Dale in the thick of it but he's always got something to say.Comment

I think that is a good point, but I remember where Shane pointed it out before his fight with Rick, how there were not any bites on either of those walkers. Got me thinking that Rick was trying to piece some things together.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
LOL, if he didn't do it they'd both be dead and the boy, 3 deaths instead of 1. Remember it's the zombie apocolypse, tough decisions need to be made. He definielty would have had to shoot me in the back, because I would have been bookin'.Comment

Where my problems lies with Shane is his refusal to conform to the group, and his refusal to accept that what was Rick's is still Rick's. I think there should be waaaay more sensitivity to the possibility that child is/could be Shane's. Other than that, Shane needs to adapt to his role within the group, but he wants to be the Alpha-male like it was in the encampment....Last edited by JBH3; 02-27-2012, 12:16 PM.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

But Rick immediately pointed out that the two cops had scratches on them and found both of them right away. I think it was another notch on Rick's belt about schooling Shane.Michigan WolverinesChicago White SoxComment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
I see Shane's 'murder' of Otis as a very tough decision. I would love to play by the Marine Corps' "No man left behind" mantra throughout the struggle to stay alive, but there are just too many shades of gray. Shane would not be in that predicament had Otis not created the problem. Regardless of Otis' goodwill in saving Shane in his time of need, if I'm Shane, and want to live I may be making that tough decision.

Don't let anyone from the basement or Northern VA in my group during the zombie apocalypse. Untrustworthy.
Oh...not for nothin'....tough decision? Looked pretty cold-blooded and calculated to me!!
To each his own...but Shane is definitely NOT the type of guy I want getting my back.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
I thought the episode was really good, except for Lori. I really thought she was going to get into a fight with Andrea like Rick did with Shane. So annoying!!!
Anyone know the significance of the walker that was walking in the open field?
Is that a symbol of Shane going the solo route? Or did it look like the Zombie was dying as they were going back home? Maybe the zombies will die off from the Winter Storms?Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
I think he's going to live for that same reason. Shane is going the Kill Them All route with the Zombies, and Rick is going the sympathy route.
