Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)

i always kinda liked dale. i liked him more in season 1 and early season 2. lately in the last few episodes he has been getting annoying, especially this episode. so it was kinda sad to see him die, but at least there is finally some more action, since the barn shooting the episodes have been slow and hardly any walkers

personally i think if the world went to hell, i would have no problem killing that kid if he was a threat to my friends and family. i mean he knows where they live since he knew maggie, so obviously if he finds his friends they are gonna be comin back for revenge.

as for dales reasoning, i understand it, but in the world they are in its survival of the fittest. you really cannot take a chance in hoping that this kid, who was trying to kill Rick, Hershal, and Glen a few days ago, turns out to be a good guy and go not get his 30 friends to come back and waste them all.

carl was getting annoying this episode as well, but you really can't blame him for the way he is acting and talking back. i mean he is only what like 10 and watching the world completely fall apart. he was better though before Sophia got lost, then he never really talked much

like somebody else said, i hate everyone besides Daryl lol. i mean really, Darly is awesome, he is the only one who i consistently like every episode. seems like i am constantly switching sides about if im on Ricks side or Shanes side. and i just really dont like anyone else, especially not Lori

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)

When I first saw him get attacked I thought he was only going to get bitten on the arm or leg which would lead to him getting amputated (like he was in the comics).

      Welp, I was wrong .

Kinda sad to see him go as he made a compelling argument. The irony was not lost on me either .

I feel kinda bad for laughing at that

Edit: Carl's around 7-8 years old. His lack of athleticsm is common and I'm sure he'll grow into it.

The cops didn't have any bites.
        Must've been scratches.

Again spoilers and potential future spoilers are plentyful.

Oh yeah right, I forgot about that. Question answered.

Still, I would like to see some people die in future episodes from seeing scratched instead of bitten. It would bring some more variety to the zombie transition.

People saying they should keep their humanity and stuff...well...Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs FTW.

But, for the record, I think that is what makes this show so great. It's what makes the comics so great. The constant struggle between humanity and survival.

From what I read, it gets even crazier than that preview. I was shocked with Dale's death and even though he annoyed me to a degree, it was terrible to see him go the way he did. That was an open field and did he not see or hear the walker? That was one strange plot hole there if you ask me. It really showed a story about consequences with Carl messing around with that same walker only for him to break free and attack one of their own.

I found this to be one of the best episodes so far this season. It just really flowed well together besides some small flaws. The one thing that I don't get is with Randall. If this kid were to be kept with the group, how could they expect him to trust them now that he has been tortured, tied up, and had a gun to his head? At that point you would have to kill him or else face him escaping and bringing his buddies back. You could tell he was up to no good as he was listening to Shane's conversation with Andrea almost scheming something, but even worse as he tries to manipulate Carl into setting him free.

READ AT YOUR OWN RISK: (LOL)

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)

List of Glaring stupid events from this episode (this is from anoterh source)

1.) It's a post-apocalyptic world roaming with undead, and NOBODY. EVER. CHECKS. ON. CARL. He's gone all freaking day and nobody notices or cares. His parents don't even act like he was gone. How can you justify this?

2.) The Walker sneaking up on Dale. First of all, if it killed a cow, IT WOULD STILL BE EATING THE COW. Second of all, how are these shambling piles of corpse suddenly so freaking quiet and stealthy? Last I checked, they groaned and hissed and made tons of noise whenever they so much as saw a human. Now they kill something, don't eat it, wander off out of sight, see a human, sneak up on them and then eat them? How dumb does it get with this show?

3.) Rick not being seen as totally inept by the group. So let's see, he made the supposedly 'moral' choice to save Randall, and then he proceeds to either leave him to be eaten alive in the middle of nowhere or just execute him anyway, which was what Hershel advised when they first saw Randall and would have solved the damn problem right there and then. Rick is an idiot.

4.) Every scene with Carl, for self-explanatory reasons. I don't care if he's 'getting sociopathic', that should be real development and not just suddenly appear in one episode where he's suddenly full-on sociopath. And it's never a good sign when half the viewers can;t even stand to look at the little *beep* when he's onscreen.

EDIT: 5.) I forgot about Randall randomly admitting that his group raped those girls. That was just awful writing. "I'm not bad, I'm good! I watched little girls get raped but come on, I didn't personally do it! I'm good!" What lousy writing, unless Randall is mentally impaired and we don't know yet.

I mean, Dale's moral questions and his death should have made for a good episode, but the writers REALLY dropped the ball in terms of basic logical storytelling.

I'd like to think if **** went down, humans would have each others' backs. Responses here make me cynical of that.

As for Carl, I thought you were gonna pop that zombie. All you did was embarrass yourself. Can't even throw right. Jeez!
I was sad for Dale. I expected he would be there for awhile. I think the group did waaaaay more than what they should've done given the circumstances. However, once Rick used Randal to help him save Shane, they should've worked it out with Randal instead of tying him up in the barn.

                            ================================================== ===

What pissed me off about Rick in this last episode is his dealing w/ Carl.

Carl should've gotten his *** beat at least 3 times in this past episode.

Once after he called Carol an idiot. It should've been..."Go apologize [Carl], and when you come back pull your pants down to your ankles"...then Rick proceed to bend him over knee and put the switch on them hind parts. Rick's whole "Think before you Speak" speech, weaksauce.

Carl telling his father to "Do it, kill him dad" should've earned Carl a 2nd *** whoopin, and once they find out the Beretta is missing and why...*** whooopin #3.

Then maybe a 4th *** whoopin for Carl being responsible for Dale's death.
