This is the exact clip I was referring to. I thought about this exact scene last night. Low and behold I go on YouTube this afternoon and someone had my exact thoughts. lol. Walking Dead writers must be Office Space fans. That scene was just perfect!

Yeah, but I read an interview and if season 1 was longer they would have wrapped up the Rick/Shane conflict up in season 1.

Great episode but what erks me is that Rick knows something that Jenner told him and is not telling everyone or at least someone in his group. We really don't know exactly what Jenner tells him but he was freakin surprised as hell when he was told.

Is it maybe to keep hope alive? Hopefully we get to know more next episode.

              "awww hell naw"

so T-Dogg = Tyreese? if that's the case then he better have that scene during the arc in the prison..

EDIT: that's a great shot btw

My one issue is Shane has Rick walking with him through the woods for what seems like a really long time. He is planning to kill Rick. Yet, at the end where are they?

In a freakin open field with the farmhouse in plain site. That one shot with the farmhouse not even that far away ruined it a bit for me, cuz why would he kill Rick right there? It makes no sense. That to me is the one thing about this show that drives me nuts, its too inconsistent.

It has these amazing chilling moments, only to be followed by WTF dumb moments.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)

Season 2 of The Walking Dead feels so much like LOST S3.

First-Half = slow, where are we going with this?
                  Second-Half = BAM! BAM! BAM! Mind-blowing.

And I agree with all that the hilltop scene was very nice cinematography. After reading about a "shocking death" thru the build-up to this episode, I was already preparing myself for Rick being a goner (cause let's face it, Shane would be the more expected choice and after Game of Thrones threw THAT death at me, I was expecting anything). Still, see ya Shane! You were cool, but you got pretty irritating with your insane **** and pining over Lori (when he could have Andrea).

Can't wait for next week and perhaps a concrete answer to this airborne virus.

Edit: I hope this is the birth of the badass Carl I've been hearing about in the comics. Also, I'm a bit bummed Rick didn't neck-grab Shane before stabbing him. We need the neck-grab from Rick back!

Can't imagine Jenner would have opted out if he thought there were hope, I know he lost everyone he knew but I think it definitely had to be bad news. If it were good news I think Rick would have told the group by now for morale sake at least having some sort of hope would be a big boost.

I wasn't blown away with the episode. Finally got rid of Shane. They were dragging that **** on forever. You don't impregnate the antagonist's wife and survive to a series finale I mean thats just not happening lol.

The Carl thing was total BS obviously. He could not have possibly been in that field to begin with, and he wouldn't have been pointing the gun at Shane either. Also waiting until the last second to shoot a bullet 2 inches by his dad's head is a bit suspect.

But anyway...the show doesn't care and neither do any of us really. It's entertaining still. Carl's character sucks though really

That's why he wanted Rick to raise his gun so he could have some deniability or whatever you call it. The last time he killed someone in the woods no one really bought it. What do you think would happen if he killed Rick there?

They'd blow him to smithereens once he got back. At least his way he could say that Rick was trying to attack him because of Lori. Which wouldn't be entirely implausible considering he impregnated the guy's wife.

There is so much of a disparity between the first and half part of the season which is night and day. This last episode was fantastic and the best yet.

Shane said that he was going to explain it by saying Randall shot Rick and then Shane ran after Randall and snapped his neck.
