Sorry for offending you, but it'd be nice if one of them besides Darryl and Dale showed more brains than the zombies.

120 or so minutes of where is my daughter, 5 morons tramping through the woods in a small group (how exactly did bringing everyone along help other than to serve as bait?), a love triangle I care nothing about because each of the characters only open their yap to whine or complain, and 2 idiots going to a highschool without a plan (hey we brought guns, but we can't really use them so maybe a machete or bat would have been better, and I guess we'll just open the door up and stroll out of here once we grab the supplies. I know I'm a cop, and probably should have thought of how we are gonna get out of here, but hey what are you going to do?) tried my patience.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)

I understand that things are moving along at a snail's pace, but boy do some of you guys have some anger towards this show. LOL!

The things that are starting to bug me a bit:

The love triangle and how Sophia's search is being handled are driving me nuts. I just wish there was resolution to finding the girl if she is alive or dead and not drag this out all season. They can't stay on the highway the entire season in hope that she shows up or they find her. As a parent I'd be in the woods day and night looking for her. Isn't Dale getting on some people's nerves? Dale is kind of getting on my nerves considering that he was acting like the RV couldn't be fixed at one point.

I didn't quite understand why Shane and Otis cornered themselves up like they did at the end in a spot which could be impossible to get out of. Is it me or are these zombies all of a sudden moving along much faster than they were before?
      Spoiler

For me, having seen 90% of the zombie films released out there, this is better than most that have been released. With Romero's zombie franchise just going down the toilet, there hasn't been much to look forward to. I think the last good zombie film(s) that I have seen and takes itself seriously has to be Dawn of the Dead remake and Zombieland which is awesome too. Now rumors are that there is a Zombieland TV series in the works and no more a sequel. There has been so much crap released with zombies that I can deal with some of the nagging issues of this show over the crap we have watched.

Its like that on every forum I post on. The internet in general really hates this show. Luckily for the show the internet's opinion really isn't relevant.

That's too bad, because I just sent AMC an email with a script for Episode 3.
I think it's pretty good and could help the show spice things up a bit:

Good afternoon AMC! How are you? I'm great, thanks for asking.
I'm sending you this email because I thought you might be interested in my idea for episode three of season 2.
It's entitled "Carl Gets a New Sweater".

          Scene:

Shane and Rick are sweaty. They also have a hand around each others neck and press their foreheads against one another.
Shane tells Rick that his wife, who he was boning for months, needs him to stay focused. Rick says "Thanks".

Lori is in the background yelling at the Vet because she doesn't like that he's a vet. 'Can't someone dig up a surgeon around here?" she asks.
          The vet farts.

Meanwhile, Carl crawls out of bed and finds a new sweater in the closet. He puts it on.

          Scene ends.

What do you think? I know what you're thinking; This script is awesome. Too awesome for the incredibly dull first two episodes of Season 2.
So perhaps you can save it for the season finale then?
Compared to the mind-blowing scenes we've seen thus far in October, people's heads might explode if we treat them to too much excitement all at once.

          Thanks for listening!

          Sincerely,
          Money99

P.S. If I see Carl put on a sweater in Season 2 I'm suing.

I want to like this, I really do. I think it could be a good series and that is what gets to me, but so much of the plot is people doing dumb things to create their own trouble like any cliched horror movie. People do dumb things, sure, but when almost every one of them is stupid, it is hard to watch.

If Darryl and Glenn decided these morons were holding us back and left, I'd at least have some respect for the writers.

I haven't read the comics, but I know of the general plot and it seems like so much more should or could be happening to move things along.

I'd like to see Carl get a new sweater

I don't think the decisions would bother me if there was some clear progression somewhere at some point. That's the biggest thing the comics was able to do was progress and keep things from being stale and circling 'round the drain.

The biggest example of that with the show is Shane and Lori. Either move on or have something big happen, but when it gets brought up every week for no reason its like beating a dead horse.

It's amazing how little I care if they find the girl dead or alive. I just want that part to be over.

And Daryl needs to be the head of the group or get a spinoff where he starts his own Zombie Strip Club.

That's exactly how I feel too.
                  I loved season 1. I couldn't wait for season 2 to begin.
But some of the drama that they're showcasing doesn't fit and doesn't make sense.

Daryl's character seems to have taken a 180. The Daryl we were introduced to in S1 would have taken off by now.
Shane goes from pointing a gun at Rick, to suddenly wanting to make-out with him.
                  Lori is just annoying.

Like I wrote earlier, I'm all for the drama element. But in the end, this is a story about zombies and those who are trying to survive them.
I didn't tune in to watch Days of Our Lives with bad acting and horrible plot changes.

Lets get this story back on track. Get the survivors moving and enough with the useless cliched trouble they keep getting themselves into.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)

Seems to me that the writers had too many episodes this season and didn't know what to do with it, so they tried to put filler in that really slowed down the entire show.

Until this episode I completely forgot about Daryl's brother and how he's still out there. What happened to the passion that Daryl had to look for his brother? (Or did I forget that he died?)

Lori is pretty annoying.. they set her up to try to win actress of the year with all this emotion coming out of her mouth, but it all doesn't make sense.

I thought Shane was leaving already?? He's also getting annoying..

They should of had the mother run off for her little girl, and then had the entire team searching for the mother/daughter. That would of made it more realistic.

I was watching that Talking Dead program last week and they brought a point, when that chick was killing a zombie and got zombie blood all over, is she going to turn into a zombie as well, or is zombie blood not that bad?

I've been reading the same thing too on other forums. People want the Sophia storyline to end already. The thing is that nobody gives a **** about her since the writers never did a good job to build her character so people don't care that she is lost. We've seen a bit of Carl and it does tug at your heart that the kid got shot. I hope they either find Sophia or she is walking around the woods as a zombie, plain and simple.

The problem with a lot of these characters is that they come off very one dimensional. The writers haven't done a great job in establishing them. They are trying to tell tales of human conflict, but not executing properly on some fronts.

I would think only if it were to enter the blood stream via open sores, cuts, or if she got some of that blood in her mouth. I wondered the same thing that she didn't get turned into one. I guess you have to be bitten in this world. LOL!

They need to get the story moving in some direction right now. This reminds me of when Lost was in its "stuck in neutral with our story" phase. Hopefully things get moving quickly I am getting sick and tired of them looking for the daughter.

Agreed. We knew nothing about the girl other than her mom was abused by her dad, and that her dad was killed in a zombie attack because Shane and the rest of the gang were too stupid to have anyone posted as a lookout during their fish fry. Oh and she got a doll from another girl when that girl's family left the group (a decision at the time I thought wasn't well thought out - leaving a decently armed group that includes a couple of cops - but now seems like it was the right call).

I have a feeling the plot with the vet is going to stick for awhile.

Season 1 was outstanding and now that they have more episodes, I think they might slow it up a bit.
