Trying to figure out why Jessica Lange's character has control over the maid. Makes me think that Jessica Lange's character isn't human. She was telling her to pass over like the maid was some trapped lost sole. Then at the end of the episode she mentioned now the maid can never leave or something to that effect.

Re: American Horror Story
Were they her bones, though? The handkerchief made me think of the celebrity doctor's wife, especially since she "appeared" this episode.

Re: American Horror Story
It wasn't a handkerchief, it was the maid's collar, hence why the maid was so hysterical as they were burying the mistress. They even made a point to show a closeup of the maid right after a closeup of the fabric soyou could see that the details were the same.Comment

Re: American Horror Story
That makes sense. Thanks. She probably can't pass on unless her body is put to rest officially, and now all the evidence is "locked up" forever. So she's stuck on that property. Probably why Jessica Lange moved next door, so she could keep an eye on the property but the maid ghost can't get to her. Not sure why she has control over what the ghost maid does though.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

But yes, the maid may be the most gorgeous woman on television right now.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: American Horror Story
I though tonight's episode was a weaker one, the murder flashback of the week wasn't very interesting and how they are effecting things now was forgettable and, frankly, a bit boring. Lots of other, smaller stuff happening though, and the payoff should be coming in part 2.
Did anyone else notice[spoiler]the two skeletons on the pumpkin in the front yard towards the end?[/spoilers]

Re: American Horror Story
I actually enjoyed last night's episode a lot, though for being Halloween it wasn't too "crazy." It was nice seeing Silar back on the tv screen because Quinto can definitely play chilling very well.
Anyway, it was a nice change of pace. The episodes felt like they were going at sonic speed, but last night was a good "settle down" episode. The gimp reveal better be major because they're certainly building it up to be.

So I guess Tate is officially a ghost. If there was any hesitation before last night its gone now.

Re: American Horror Story
Well its pretty clear that if you dies on that property, your ghost will stay there and can't leave/crossover. If Adeline died in the street, she's gone forever, that's why it was so important to drag her onto the lawn. Apparantly though, on Halloween, when the dead can apparantly walk amongst the humans, they can leave the property but still not crossover.
This is why the Maid was able to see her mom and I bet Tate took the daughter out for a date because it was Halloween and he had his get out of the haunted mansion for free card for a day.
I too thought there would be a little more build up to the Silar death. I hope they don't show the other guy getting it, because the realtor mentioned it in an earlier episode, and now way that's fit for TV.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment
