Based on whats said i think this story has run its course, and something totally unrelated will go on next season. So i'm 80/20 on that it won't have anything on the antichrist idea in it.

Who said it's the antichrist? The medium was the only one that actually said that wasn't she? She proved to be inconsistant. I took the ending to mean it's just another failure. Plus they jumped 3 years so if it bothers you that much consider it happening in real time.

It doesn't bother me at all. I thought it was a decent end to the first season. But it does appear that Candace has a little Damien on her hands. So as time goes by, I expect this kid to be wreaking some havoc.

If next season is real time, then the Baby would just be a year old, and it wouldn't have any real impact. I'm just throwing it out there that if they were in 2015 or something in some future episode, it would be pretty cool for some other family to catch some news blurb on some crazy things happening out in California.

Awesome, because if they would have continued with this story line, I saw Skis, a leather jacket, and a shark tank coming into play.

I wonder though with a new cast and new locale if their will be Antichrist/Omen stuff going on in the background, you can't just give birth to the Anti-christ and walk away entirely can you?

Maybe the new season takes place in a different timeframe or "universe." The Twilight Zone never referenced things that happened in other episodes.

I'm just throwing it out there that if they were in 2015 or something in some future episode, it would be pretty cool for some other family to catch some news blurb on some crazy things happening out in California.

Maybe the new season takes place in a different timeframe or "universe." The Twilight Zone never referenced things that happened in other episodes.

Perhaps, and its fine if they don't, but it would seem a bit odd to make something like a semi-major focal point and then just leave it dangling out there.

But either way, I am very excited for next season. This type of show could go on indefinitely if they change scenarios and locations every season. I love 1 season shows that are intended to be 1 season shows. The writing is more crisp and confined to a certain plot. It seems like alot of shows that have great vision in the beginning really lose their focus because they are writing just to write at some point and keep the series and the money coming in rather than staying true to the original plot/storyline/mission.

I enjoyed the finale. I'm glad that the show runners are moving on to a new story for season 2. The Harmon's story is done and it would be silly to have all of the characters back for more of the same.

And I think they did a pretty good job of showing why it had been played out. You were basically down to ghost wars and they showed that the ghosts couldn't actually do any long term harm to eachother, it would have turned into an adult Casper comedy so it would have just been terrorize the new people in pretty much the same fashion....rinse and repeat.

I do wish they would have tied up a few loose ends, like how Moira aged and noone else did. If Tate was shot in the chest by 100 bullets, how come he seems whole, while one of the nursing students was stabbed in the chest, and you always see her in her bloody clothes, etc. It would have been cool to see the backstory on the house as well and see what about that land made it possible to trap souls, and why was Moira so upset about the gazebo being built over her shallow grave it was almost like she was implying she could leave if someone could find her remains, but others were killed on the property and taken off property yet they were still trapped.

But overall, I am fine if they don't go back and reference anything about this season, it was very entertaining to watch.

Maybe a few seasons away, the devil child is the serial killer they mentioned they might want to tackle and maybe that's when we see more of Constance again?

The whole Constance speech about him being destined for greatness, the time they spent explaining what could possibly happen if he was Tate's offspring, what the nurse saw in the ultrasound, etc.

It was a major storyline left dangling in the wind. We'll all just have to wait and see.....

But the Nurse and Constance's little boy aged. We saw him jump out of the attic the last episode.

Also some people you could see their wounds. Like the original owner. You could see the gunshot in the back of her head. Tate got shot up, yet when he was shirtless you saw no bullet holes.

Ironically, the thought of a new story and previous actors playing new characters actually piqued my interest more for next season and beyond.

Me too. Give me a haunted prison with dead inmates (from prison murders, electric chairs, etc.) coming back as ghost and I'm all in
