I love the show but I'm glad. It's being drawn out too much. Just tell us who the mother is already.

I agree it has been drawn out, but I feel like 2 more seasons is the right amount to wrap everything up (this year and next). Although it's not like there's only 12 episodes a season, so I guess it could work.

The one thing I don't want them to do is to go past this season with Segel leaving and then use some lame storyline about Marshall leaving the country or something along those lines, the same way That 70's Show had a storyline to explain Topher Grace leaving to film Spider-Man 3 (God, what a mistake...). But I could totally see them doing that just to squeeze as much out of the show as possible.

The show itself is technically only contracted through season eight. They've been working on a deal, but so far, its gotten nowhere.

Kind of surprising as before didn't they all say they were down to see this to the end? Granted as said so far the end is Season 8 until otherwise.

I do hope they manage to keep everyone together for another 2 seasons(this coming and another) as I feel with how the last season ended that ending the series in one season just might be too much.

I've heard this is the last season, but Carter and Craig already said they would be open to future seasons "as long as the cast signs on." That looks doubtful now.

I'd be furious if the series finale involved the meeting of the Mother without showing us WHY she's different than all the other chicks.

Exactly why I want 2 more seasons, meet her at presumably Robin/Barney's wedding then have the whole season finding out more about the mother until maybe their wedding.

While if it just ended with meeting the Mother it'd be a somewhat memorable finale I just don't want that.
