    Logitech Harmony remotes

Does anyone have either the Logitech Harmony 650 or 700 models? I know the slight difference between the two (rechargeable batteries and 6 devices for the 700), but I'm just wondering what people prefer?

Even though it's about a $30 difference, I think I'm leaning towards the 700 due to the extra device (not needed right now...but just in case) and the battery charging.

Are they as (relatively) easy to set up as they look? Thanks in advance!

I have the Harmony One. Extremely easy to setup and use...looks great as well.

I can't comment on the 650 or 700, but for only $30 more, I'd get the 700. You never know when you'll want that extra device. Rechargeable batteries are also a nice feature to have.

Stay away from the 650 total piece of junk. That was money well wasted by me. It was very touchy for me a slight bump and the remote reset and I had to go through the whole reprogramming of the device again. Usually had to do it at least 2 times a day.

I have the Xbox 360 version of the 600 series and it has been completely reliable. Simple and intuitive to set up.

I have the 880. Harmony remotes are definitely easy to set up, if mine ever breaks I will definitely get another. I have mine set up to control both my PS3 and 360 as well, so I don't have to mess with controllers when I am watching movies.

I got the 650 last year.
I had a problem with a couple of the number buttons. Since it was in warranty Logitech sent a new one.
            That one has been fine.
It does go through batteries pretty quick (2 months).

This is why I think I'm going to go with the 700...

yeah the first Harmony I had took batteries, that was kind of annoying having to change them out. So I really like having a recharging base on the one I have now, definitely the way to go.

I agree...I have a One and it's great (my 2nd harmony remote). Once you get one you'll never go back to the old way. Makes it possible for my GF to turn on the tv lol

Anyone have the Logitech PS3 adapter that lets you turn on the PS3? I'm tempted to pick it up eventually. I have the Nyko IR Remote addon for PS3, but you can't turn on the PS3 with it, a bit annoying.

I have the PS3 adapter, pricey but so worth it if your DVD player is your PS3 or you watch a lot of Netflix on the PS3.

I have the PS3 adapter as well hooked up to the Harmony One...simply so I can press "Play PS3" on the remote and it will turn on the PS3 as well switch the input on my TV and receiver. I don't use the PS3 as a DVD/Blu-Ray player, but I still think the adapter serves a purpose.

Also agree about rechargeable batteries. Only negative I can say is that the battery swelled up once and it was really hard to remove. I noticed it began to lose it's charge over a period of time so figured I'd replace it. No easy task getting that swollen battery out of the remote!

How do you like the feel of the 1100? I've stayed away from remotes that are in the square shape because I don't want to use two hands to control it. Do you find that to be an issue?
