Kind of like how Instant Messaging was big in the early 2000's.

I deleted my account 6 months ago and have never looked back. Facebook is evil.
I deleted my account not long ago and then to see if it was actually deleted signed back in and all my stuff was still there. Not sure if I took the wrong procedure but it does not delete your account it just stores everything you did despite deletion. Which in my opinion is totally wrong, I was never interested in joining facebook in the first place, I was pushed into doing so from my older brother. What a mistake. I believe to truly delete your account you would have to manually delete every picture and comment you have made.

Yes that is true.. Initially when you delete your account, FB only "Deactivates" it. Which gives you a time period in case you decide to change your mind and sign back on with FB.

However, in 14 days after you deactivate your account, if you have not tried to sign on or do anything Facebook related, your account will be deleted.

Awe this is good to know. So at least I can truly delete it.

Well don't quote me on that yet.. I just tried to log on to FB, and it stated incorrect password. (Forgot which one I used)

If I try signing on with a different email, it states no email found.

          Argh! I should sue FB!

Anyways, I'm sure FB, like Google, has and will keep data about you.

Is this a relatively new thing? I deleted my account in 2006 for nearly a year, when I came back it was exactly how I left it Friends, wall posts, pics. All still there. There was a girl I went to HS with that was off FB for most of 2010 and 2011 but I noticed she just came back to The 'Book and we were still friends.

If you come up in that personal info it's easier for Facebook to connect you too.

In other words: you may not have done anything to make this happen. I'd blame the people being suggested. AND it may only be one person because once that person is linked to another, Facebook will automatically look for common connections to sync.

I've had people recommended to me that went to high school with a cousin I requested. I obviously don't know the high school friend, but Facebook is simply trying to cut corners. For them, suggestions are about volume not accuracy.

The more they guess, the more they get right.

            Sent from my mobile device.
This is what kills me because I know the perils of all the third-party apps and what not and I have never used a single one. I use FB for messaging and wall posts and that's about it. I have no personal info entered into it, less than 100 pics on it even though I've been a member since late 2004. Still they find a way to be creepy as hell.
