Woo Hooo, just saw on the "Keep My Nets" fb page that they have reached an agreement to keep all channels going.

Ahh yes, no delay on Sons of Anarchy.

There actually was because FOX was trying to stall so that they could include these channels in the local FOX stations and FOX News contracts that are expiring soon. DTV made the decision to go public with it because FOX wasn't interested in talking and didn't start until they went public.

Considering Fox was off of Dish Network for about 2 weeks last year, there was a lot of doubt.

I wish I was just now signing up for DTV. Free NFL Sunday Ticket and now they are offering 2 addition HD Receiver upgrades. So you get an HD DVR and 3 HD Receivers for just the $5 lease price.

Never got how that worked. If you want to upgrade you have to pay $100 then another $6 a month.

Call them. On the voice prompts, say "cancel" to the two questions they ask. That'll take you to their retentions department, and they're able to do much more for your account. You can definitely squeeze upgrades/bill breaks out of them.

That's how I got the Redzone channel. I kind of wish Fox's channels were pulled for a couple days. Then I could bitch about no Longhorn Network and now no FX or FSSW so no way to watch UT games on DirecTV.

Calling and being polite in trying to get yourself breaks is the way to go. I called fully intent on canceling, was offered a lower package at a $10 a month discount for two years, with free DVR for a year, and the sports package for 2.99$ a month. They want your money and they'll cut into their profits to get at least something from you.

thats correct.. whenever we see a package offered to a new customer, ex free sunday ticket etc, we call and get it free. been with them 13 years or so (as a lot of you guys), spend thousands of dollars, but yet they dont call us and say hey, want this free nfl package? lol.. but if you call, are polite, you will get what they offer to the new customers package wise. on top, usually get hd/dvr for free for 6 to 12 months as well..
