If you are buying them as a fashion accessory as much as for audio, then they are fine. If not, then you can probably do better at the price and I'd suggest finding a store that sells high end headphones and can let you try them and see what suits your music, ears, source, and aesthetic tastes.

I took advantage of a great deal on amazon for v moda crossfade lp headphones. Got them for $75 and my goodness, these are great. Definitely better than studios and the bass hit is a level below pros but for the price that's stellar.

        Should have bought 2 lol.

Crossover frequency set to the 80 Hz THX standard.

I want to upgrade my fronts to Klipsch towers, but that would mean transitioning all my other speakers to surrounds and weeding out my satellites. Unfortunately, my speaker stands for my backs, although advertised to "have enough screws and mounts to match any speakers," can only match my backs, and neither the Insignia nor Bose speakers can stand on them. I'll probably wait until I move out for the upgrades, so I can acquire more stands to get everything else going.
Guess since this thread is bumped, I'll update my old post to say that I've successfully upgraded to those new fronts.

I've eliminated my backs to bi-amp my fronts, plus I couldn't place any bookshelf speakers on those mounts, like I mentioned in that previous post.

The Klipsch towers are sweet! I posted a picture in the BF thread last week showing them off in my bedroom:

Blzr, is this all in your bedroom still? If so I'm impressed with your ability to manage space.

Yup, the bedroom is tiny too. I used to be in a much bigger room, but my sister moved into it when I was at SDSU (now she's at UCLA so I should move back haha). It works super well, except my bed is my "couch." I really wish there was a way that I could couch-ify my bed a bit more (that is, make the seating less deep and have a way for feet to be able to be on some ground as well).

I can't believe I've done all that I have. Remember those old pics I had of a before/after when I got my new TV? You should've seen my room before I moved back home. It looks great now... to me at least haha.

All that in a bedroom? Woof. Verra nice setup, sir. Good choices. Plasma working out okay for gaming?

I'm in a similar situation. Small rental house, and my a/v crap is all in the master. In my previous life (first marriage, dedicated a/v room) I had a 55" Mits rear-projection set, B&K a/v receiver, and a complete M&K THX 7.1 system. Thing was a housequake.

Now, in a smallish bedroom, 55" Sammy LCD (love it) and an Onkyo 7.1 HTIB (surprisingly good, works well for the little room). We have a king bed in there that I also use as my 'couch', but it's a Tempurpedic that is adjustable so I can sit up with feet raised and it's DAMN comfy.

Having said that, looking forward to the day when I can have a dedicated room for that stuff again.

The plasma is great! I've treated it with such extra care that I don't think IR will ever be prevalent on my screen. Our downstairs TV, though? Definitely burn-in if you're looking for it, especially the permanent "lighter side-bars."

That all sounds great! I still promise myself that when I move out, things will still be changing. I'll be getting bigger subs and a more monstrous center channel. At this point in time, I actually can't upgrade my center; anything taller will block out the bottom of the screen, and that's that. The CS10 is great, though. Maybe if I ever strike fortunate with my money, I will invest in a true home theater. That's a pipe dream, though.

Basically in the corner of my room where I took my picture.

I'll have to like take video of what the whole room actually looks like. I obviously hide portions of the room that don't appeal much to me on a visual level, but I think I took a picture of my Blu-ray cabinet once before. There are more than there were before, though.

I have two swivel racks on each side of my console which also houses most of my games on one side and all my music dvds and random shows on the other. Everything is almost full, though.

Yup, I'm running out of room as well. If you see that bookshelf that's stacked in the corner of my room in that picture, I have my 35 or so PS3 games all lined up on the top row. I will have to start putting movies there when I get about 15-20 more.

It's about time I move out.

What type of base does the Sammy have? You could always get (or make) a riser for it. Had the same problem with the center channel being too big.

Mind is mounted to my TV stand. I bought this specific stand that has its own mount thingy, and it's at the highest level.

If I used the base from the TV, it wouldn't fit on the stand at all with the speaker. I'm not going to mount this to my wall, either.
