I'm trying to get a tablet for both me and someone else. So here's my question....

Can anyone tell me if typing on a 10" tablet is different when comparing android to apple tablets? I tested out my typing on a 10" and it wasn't comfortable enough as I had to keep my hands together, no using my thums like a normal keyboard.

Big difference with Apple and Android.. Apple, you're stuck with the keyboard they have.

Android, you can download many custom keyboards to your liking. Some have bigger keys, some you can slide your finger to spell words, etc.

Hence why I like Android, being able to customize it the way I want it to look is also a big plus to me.

Also if you're looking to get a tablet now, I might wait a few weeks. With Windows8 getting bigger and bigger each day, and now laptop/tablets are popping up, I bet there will be price break on actual tablets. At least non Apple ones.

EDIT: looking through Amazon the Samsung Galaxy 2 7in is only 199....any thoughts on this? Going to wait to see if it goes down on BF...

If it goes down on BF, might be worth it. Otherwise for $199 your best bet is probably the Nexus 7, new specs and 16GB.

i'm in no position to get one, but i kinda want one. the ipad is great at home but too big for the morning commute. the 7" size seems like a nice compromise to me. but the iPad mini is way overpriced.

Getting some good reviews on nexus 7 hopefully it gets a price drop on Black Friday.

Doubt you get a price drop on BF. It's $250 for 32gb. Can't beat that.

I was looking at he Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0 7in for $179 but you get a $20 gift card with the purchase at Best Buy on BF. Has anyone heard anything about the Galaxy Tab 2.0?

It has expandable memory and I already bought a 32GB micro SD card that will fit in it. It's for my girl so she can have something to read her kindle books and watch netflix or hulu while at work.

Yeah i checked the local one about 20 minutes from my job but it's still $179. I decided against the BB deal because it's a doorbuster sale and this is the first BF I've had off in a while so I'm not spending it waiting in line or fighting with people over it. I'll just wait until after and see when it goes on sale again but if not, I have $20 worth of BB gift cards anyways so it would be the same price.

Goto Microcenter site, and see black friday add. It's on one of the first pages there, going to be $149 I should say Friday morning. I'm not sure how crowded your Microcenter will get Friday morning. You're right though it's for Friday, I didn't make that clear from my last post.
