    Top Albums of 2011

I don't think there's any more major releases this year, so why not. This year has been one of the best music years in recent memory. The last few years I struggled to get a top 10 together, but I had to leave some good albums out this year.

    1. Jay-Z and Kanye West - Watch The Throne

    2. Drake - Take Care

    3. J. Cole - Cole World: The Sideline Story

    4. Big Sean - Finally Famous

    5. Lil' Wayne - Tha Carter IV

    6. Mac Miller - Blue Slide Park

    7. Wale - Ambition

    8. Wiz Khalifa - Rolling Papers

    9. Lupe Fiasco - Lasers

    10. Bad Meets Evil - Hell: The Sequel

    HONORABLE MENTION

    Blink 182 - Neighborhoods
    Nicki Minaj - Pink Friday

The best rap albums? None of those would make my personal list, but I gave up on rap after the mid 90's. My list would include at least these( in no particular order):

    1. Black Keys/El Camino (Haven't heard the entire cd yet obviously, but it's the Black Keys so it's most likely great).

    2.The Decemberists/The King is Dead
    3.Radiohead/King Of Limbs
    4.Wilco/The Whole Love
5.Death Cab For Cutie/Codes and Keys
    6.Mastodon/The Hunter
7.Primus/Green Naugahyde ( I don't really feel this was a GREAT cd. It just shows how lack luster this year has been musically in my opinion).
    8. Chevelle/Hats Off to the Bull (comes out Dec. 6 and I haven't heard all of it yet, but all signs point to this being a pretty good disc, based on what songs I have heard).
    9. The Roots/Undun...Best Rap/Hip Hop album since...well...the last Roots album!
    10. Danger Mouse Presents ROME

I think Common and The Roots will probably end up on my list, so I'll hold off on the full list for now.

Watch The Throne and The Sideline Story are definitely on there though.

You can usually find full album streams about a week before release:

The Roots are the best rap/hip hop act there is today, along with Outkast who hopefully come back in 2012.

                    1) Foo Fighters - Wasting Light
                    2) Staind - Seven
                    3) 3 Doors Down - Time of My Life
                    4) Red Hot Chili Peppers - I'm With You
                    5) Valencia - Dancing With a Ghost

As a fan of Daughtry, I'm hoping to get the deluxe edition of that album for Christmas, so I have yet to rank it here if it tops any of these.

A list doesn't get any worse than the one in the OP. I mean...wow. That's just my opinion on the music though so please, take no offense. Damn though.

                      Anyway, my short list:

                      Kendrick Lamaar - Section 80
                      Adele - 21
                      Big K.R.I.T. - Return of 4eva
                      Killer Mike - Pl3dge
Jill Scott - The Light of the Sun

That's all I got but I do think Camp is a damn good debut album from Childish Gambino.
                      PS: You guys are great.

                      SteamID - Depotboy

I'm going to hold off on a top 10 until Black Keys comes out next week, but here's a mock top 5ish:
