                1. The Black Keys - El Camino
                2. Mute Math - Odd Soul
                3. Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto
                4. Radiohead - The King of Limbs
                5. Ben Folds - The Best Imitation of Myself: A Retrospective
                6. Adele - 21
                7. Childish Gambino - Camp
                8. Manchester Orchestra - Simple Math
                9. Cold War Kids - Mine is Yours
                10. Death Cab for Cutie - Codes and Keys

Ben Folds is more of a compilation, but it was hard for me to not put it on here. There was a ton of new (old) stuff that was amazing. Mute Math is an amazing live band. Other than Radiohead and Ben Folds I'm not sure there's a better live band on my list.

                  Re: Top Albums of 2011

Didn't see any country albums but after being half of the most successful duo in country music for 20 years Ronnie Dunn released his self titled debut solo album at number 1 on the country charts and his first 2 singles "Bleed Red" and "Cost Of Living" went to number 1. I would think that would have to be included in the list of top albums of 2011.

Country artists have more #1 hits than anyone else in music. There could be a couple reasons for that...1. More people listen to country to any other genre or 2. People that listen to country generally like every song they hear.

I've known several people who liked country and I never heard them say, I don't really like this song. It was always them singing along to every song they hear it seems. If billboard charts determined best albums everything here would have to be Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift oriented. No thanks. It's all subjective though.

I only listen to hip-hop...and admittedly mostly mainstream artists. So without further ado, here's my top 10:

                            10) Lupe Fiasco - "L.A.S.E.R.S."
                            9) Drake - "Take Care"
                            8) J. Cole - "Cole World: Sideline Story"
                            7) Tech N9ne - "All 6's & 7's"
                            6) Bad Meets Evil - "Hell: The Sequel"
                            5) Childish Gambino - "Camp"
                            4) Kendrick Lamar - "Section.80"
                            3) Common - "The Dreamer, The Believer"
                            2) Kanye & Jay-Z - "Watch the Throne"
                            1) The Roots - "Undun"

Section.80 had the standout songs to me, but i felt some tracks in the middle of the album was skippable. Whereas with the top 3, i could listen to them start to finish without the urge to skip songs (not a fan on "Otis" though lol).

With Drake, Lupe and J. Cole i was actually pretty disappointed with all 3, but ultimately i still enjoy the majority of songs, including alot of the "pop" singles on each of them.
