    Transformers 4

    ... with Baysplosions!

According to ComingSoon.net, Michael Bay is close to coming to terms with Paramount in directing a fourth Transformers film.

Honestly, aside from J.J. Abrams, I don't really know who else should be touching this material anyway. I'd rather have the consistency. It's not like a director can completely flip the ugly script, anyway. Bay knows how to hold an action scene together; he might as well be the right guy for this.

Dark of the Moon was, IMO, a big step up from Revenge of the Fallen. There were issues that the first Transformers movie didn't seem to have which carried over from the second movie to the third, but it was still improved on. I hope Bay can really pull himself together this time, though.

Either way, I'd say we're still three summers away from another release.

I'm in no huge rush for the next installment and I agree with you on Michael Bay. At this point, I wouldn't trust the 'material' with anyone else..

The 3rd was definitely a huge improvement over the 2nd, but they need to take awhile before releasing a 4th.

On a different note, I much preferred Megan Fox to the new eye candy.

The entire movie wasn't bad. Having Optimus stuck in a wire net for the last 30 minutes of the movie? I agree. That was atrocious

I dont know how much truth there is to the rumor, but word is that Shia L. is out and Jason Statham will take over as the lead role. That would definately throw the series in a different direction.

Liked all 3, and was glad they replaced Megan Fox actually. Much preferred the new girl.

That was pretty bad. Was the equivalent of a wrestler going under the ropes in the Royal Rumble then sliding back in 30 minutes later with one person to toss out.

The problem with Transformers movies is the same problem I had with the cartoons as a kid-It really stunk when the humans got too much face time. While Dark Moon was much better than Revenge of the Fallen, imo that wasn't neccessarily hard to achieve. Bay really needs to get a good script together for #4.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.
