I've been hearing whispers about this. It's funny, but I went to boot camp with one of the guys in this film, some 11 and a half years ago. Obviously will see this.

This looks awesome. I liked the part of the trailer when the guy that's underwater catches the other guy before he hits the water.

Its like Call of Duty:Modern Warfare:The Movie!!

Fictional war movies usually end up not doing so well, adding in active duty Navy Seals is just gimmick imo. I will wait and see what the reviews are like.

More like SOCOM, in my opinion.

I think the bigger point was that the things depicted on screen were done by the guys who are doing it now. Aside from actually shooting bullets into people, I think you're pretty much getting the real deal on screen as far as movements go. That doesn't sound so bad to me.

Not to say that movies before all used CGI or something, but the reassurance here isn't a bad thing per se. Gimmick or not, it should be impressive.

Don't get me wrong, it looks bada$$, but it's not going to be the kind of movie that accurately depicts what it's like to be in the military. I will always maintain that there is no such thing as a realistic war movie or video game as you can simulate the fear of dying. The communication aspect of it though does seem pretty spot on.

I must admit though, Black Hawk Down still gives me chills. I have a really hard time watching that movie as I can relate to so many experiences shown in that movie.

Going to see this tonight. Early reviews are mixed. Basically the fact that the SEALs aren't actors and that the dialogue is pretty bad are hurting it. Said it's like watching a friend play COD, which for some guys is actually pretty cool.

I'll let you know what I think.
