I think they might lose a few customers due to their crazy data prices. I'll be a new Sprint customer in two days.GT:jb12780

Covering their ***. There's a small fee Verizon has to pay the banks for every electronic payment received. That's why most retail places require a minimum purchase to use a debit/credit card.
Say you go into a gas station and simply want a can of Pepsi, the gas station loses money in the scenario if you pay with a card.I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me!

Now there could be thresholds put in place that go by the # of transactions though that change the % fee.
Verizon just wanted to get some of that money back as they have to support the website to pay and also pay the fee, so they are losing money on the convenience.Comment

Re: Verizon $2 service fee starts Jan. 15th for paying your bill online
My thinking is that this has something to do with Verizon wanting payments in a more structured way. If I'm not mistaken they would have to pay the same CC fees with the Auto-pay anyways, so why are they pushing people toward that?
They must want to get people's money on the same day (Auto-pay), not spread out over a larger window. Probably helps them somehow. Anyways I'm glad it didn't go through, power to the people!!Comment

Seriously, it's not like they weren't already profitting off of the services they provide (a text message cost like 1/36th of a cent to send), now you have to add this fee? I'm glad the FCC shut this down. It was ridiculous.Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. Fool me twice can't put the blame on you. We went to prepaid phones. Sure I miss my Android apps, but I'd much rather pay under 100$ a month then almost 200$. I can buy a new game every month with the money we are saving.
On top of that we get better service with these phones then I did with my Droid. Go figure.NFL: Green Bay Packers

NBA: Denver Nuggets
NHL: Colorado Avalanche, Pittsburgh Penguins

I'm right there with you. Luckily I live in an area where T-mobile is a good choice. $49.99 Unlimited everything for each line. (5GB data cap, then lower speeds, but how many people need over 5 anyway?)Comment

I think you messed up. We got a discount from my wife's work that saves $15/month. Look into that next time, they have discounts for everything.I'm a Vince McMahon Guy!
