I have no idea why I never watched Breaking Bad, nor how I really didn't know much about it. It is really weird because I watch the Walking Dead on the same channel.
Anyway about reading this post about Narcos and BB I started BB about 4 days ago.
I have freaking watched 14 episodes in 4 days! It may be the best show I have ever seen.
it is truly amazing, I watched Narcos and loved it but BB blows it away.

Assuming you haven't seen Better Call Saul, you have that to look forward to also.

Breaking Bad deserves every accolade it's ever gotten and more. It's seriously one of the best all time tv series ever made, if not the best.

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix

What I've seen off the top of my head..

Daredevil 1 and 2- Best comic show/movie ever. My favorite hero done right. Both seasons are must-watch (5*)

Jessica Jones- Almost as good as DD. Ritter is super engaging but the story is not as compelling as DD. (4.5*)

Luke Cage- Very solid start but fell off hard in like the final four episodes. Loved Colter but the villains were beyond terrible. Instead of Fisk, Killgrave, Castle, etc. We get Shades, Cottonmouth (the only one I liked), some politician, and that T-1000 dude. (3.5*)

Iron Fist- Super hard to get through. Colleen carried the show for me. Hated the action, the board room stuff and Iron Fist (though I liked Rand). (2.5*)

Dear White People- Amazing, amazing show. Well written, character-driven and tackles a lot of real issues. Can't say enough good things about this (5*).

The Get Down 1 & 2- I was definately engaged. At times it felt like watching Gambino's Clapping For the Wrong Reasons where I felt, I have no idea what's going on, but I'm hooked. Overall very good show, but some storylines dragged. (4*)

Breaking Bad- Phenomenal show obviously. But does not touch the Wire when it comes to GOAT status. (5*)

13 Reasons- I'm a university counselor so I'm aware this is the new hot thing students are watching. I was hooked until the brutal final "trigger warning" episodes. Defiantly tough to watch and brought down my personal enjoyment. It was solid enough though (3*)

Haven't seen The Prestige, but Memento was too much like work to watch. (IMO)

                        Ouch haha.

The Prestige is a great film. I'd still recommend you check it out. Give 15 minutes of it or so, and you'll know from there whether you'd want to stay in or back out.

EDIT: Actually, more specifically, I'd say the first 26 minutes heh. That way you actually catch some plot development.

Sitting at a surprisingly low 76% on RT, it's by far his most criminally underrated film.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Since I was mentioning it in the "movies watched" thread, I didn't mention that since some of my students can't get permission to see the R-rated version, I had to make a version that mutes all curse words outside of "hell" or "damn."

This means that for the past two weeks, I have hit instances of this film a lot, a lot, and a lot haha. Have not grown tired of it, and in fact every time I watch it again or think about certain moments, I keep thinking back about how much my students are going to love it, or at least be enjoyably perplexed over it all.
