Not arguing who is right or wrong. I even gave a possible reason as to why my hype was not as large as the perceived hype when the show was airing in real time. Possibly because I was not involved when it was trending at the time.

And Sons hit me more on a personal level due to my father.

I would not have been as shocked if it was about someone else.

But the same person is where I was caught a little off guard. Is there new evidence on either side? The prosecution's lack of cooperation shows lack of confidence in their evidence and wanting to not be exposed, at least to me.

I am definitely interested at what will transpire, because nothing has hit the news yet, so maybe they have stuff to break this open again.

I still think the dude who tried to sell his sons .22 cal rifle within hours of the supposed incident is sketchy as hell. Especially with how much they hated Avery.

Apparently he has a new defense lawyer who has been cleared to recheck some blood evidence surrounding Halbach's car.

I really just want the truth to be revealed for her sake. She seems to have just been collateral in this county vs. Avery mess. I wish their family would fight for the truth instead of just settling on the crooked cops account.

Just started up Bloodlines. 3 episodes into season 1 and I already know I'm gonna love it. I'm all about these kind of shows. Plus I've always liked Kyle Chandler since Friday Night Lights and I've had a crush on Linda Cardellini since Freaks and Geeks. It's so intriguing.

Yeah Cardellini stayed hot over the years. (By the way she was over 20 when she was on F&G).

Ha. I looked it up. She was almost 24 lol. No wonder 17 year old me was all about it. But yes she has aged very well.

After all the hoopla of the first Making a Murderer, the media around here quickly interviewed the new lawyer. They asked her about the new evidence and she said look for something in 30 days. Those 30 days are long gone.

It's been quiet as a church mouse since then.

Also, a few months after Making a Murderer, the two trial lawyers went around speaking to the public with paid admission to hear them talk about the trial.

And I remember Linda C from ER and she was a hot nurse.

I wonder if the creators of MaM asked them not to reveal anything because they were planning season 2 and wanted to save the big revelations for the show?

Stranger Things has the 80's, a good sci-fi story and a ton of heart. I don't usually repeat myself (knowingly) but this is a must Netflix watch.

It could be possible. They may be wanting the 'court of public opinion' PR to help them as much as they can, since no matter what someone thinks on either side, this was handled shady as **** by the State, in which they can easily sweep under the rug with no exposure on them right now.

The trailer does not do this show justice... which is pretty crazy, since the trailer was pretty good, lol.

I concur. I really can't get over how great the show is. I really hope it gets another season and can live up to this one. So entertaining all around. I kind of feel that this show is what I wanted Super 8 to be. That's the first thought that came to mind after watching episode 1. Turns out that the main influence for the Duffer bros was Super 8 and Poltergeist. Such a solid job all around.

It's simply amazing. The nostalgia factor is off the charts.

It's probably the only show where I've looked forward to the opening theme song since Dukes of Hazzard.

This show just nails it on all accounts.

Makes sense as it has a Speilberg feel to it. Just binge watched it over the last several days. I really like it though did find it a bit corny in spots. I was worried that Matthew Modine might ruin it as I think that outside of Full Metal Jacket he's one of the worst actors in Hollywood. But he was pretty tolerable. The toothless kid had me laughing on several occasions with his reactions. The actor who played Hop, David Harbour, the police chief I thought was very good throughout, especially in the middle episodes. He looks like he could be Mandy Patinkin's son in a few scenes.

Anywho, as things chugged along I kept seeing Minority Report associations as well. Overall, it was definitely pretty much a must see series. It makes you wonder if season 2 will be a new set of circumstances and new cast or a continuation.

I'm going to have to go against the grain and say that Stranger Things was good, but not great. The parts with the younger kids, and the Chief were excellent, but I really didn't feel the rest of the narrative or characters.

I was going to give the series a pass because I'm not at all nostalgic for that early 80's stuff, but the high praise here made me give it a chance. Ironically, I think the creators of the show did their job too well, because it had that, "Good for its time, but doesn't really hold up", feel that most of that old stuff has for me.
