It was coincidence. I remember that The Wire was on sale at Best Buy on Blu-ray, and when I asked about Sherlock once when it was on sale, somebody pointed it out to me that it was on Netflix.

It surprises me these days what shows just end up there so I don't have to purchase them first.

Started watching 30 Degrees in February, and it's actually pretty good. I've enjoyed it a lot and am finding myself watching it fairly quickly.

            30 for 30 - Chasing Tyson

Man this one was so good. My dad is a huge boxing fan which means I grew up a huge boxing fan. Holyfield was his favorite fighter and I loved the guy. Saw all his fights and most of Tysons as well. It was such a long wait for the big one. Man memories flashing back as I was seeing highlights of all the fights. Anyways if you were a fan of Heavyweight boxing in the late 80's to mid 90's this is excellent.

The Christmas episode in season 2 messed with me mentally. Actually all of season 2, especially episodes 1 and 2 really go for the "What is life?" jugular.

I heard Amanda Knox had a poster of Glenn Close in her cell. That would close the deal for me!

White Christmas was bananas, I'm still thinking about it. Season 3 has been great so far too.

Haven't seen that one yet. I'll have to see if it'll be on TSN anytime soon.

To be honest, I have a hard time watching any Tyson documentary. And I especially can't watch the inevitable anniversary replay of his loss to Buster Douglas.
I'm a huge Tyson fan and it's painful to see how he threw his career down the toilet.

I know it was his fault for firing Rooney, not training properly and not caring for his career.
But I have a hard time believing he would have lost as much as he did in his post-Rooney career if he hadn't fired everyone from his Cus D'Amato days.
I truly believe he would KO'd Holyfield, Douglas, maybe even Lewis. And he sure as poop would have KO'd Razor Ruddock in a matter of rounds instead of going 19 in two tough fights.

Technically this is a Holyfield documentary. I hear you though about Tyson. It was never his ability that cost him. It was the idiotic choices he made that cost him. What was really good about this one was you had some commentary from both Tyson and Holyfield. Some of the stuff Tyson said was so enlightened. He absolutely realized what he did wrong and how. His self-realization was really something good to hear. To many times you have people want to blame others instead of taking ownership of their own mistakes. Also how much he respected Holyfield as a person and a boxer. All the stuff you never saw the media hype him up to be. It was the real Mike Tyson.

                          Really?
Does Mike ever make any comments about firing Rooney, or not training hard enough in the 2nd-half of his career?

It's exactly what I fear the world becoming but if every child of this new generation was smart enough to make it possible.

The new Joe Rogan special is pretty hilarious. I am a fan though, listen to his podcast all the time, so maybe I am biased.

He didn't get into to much detail (it was Holyfields Doc) but he does make some generalized references to some of that.
