"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
I didn't post here to start a pissing contest about show X being better than show Y, relax. I was just pointing out that Walking Dead's outstanding numbers could be even higher without those two shows.Last edited by Bruins; 10-15-2012, 11:00 PM.Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
I've learned that in these type of shows nothing they show you is for no reason. Of course it makes sense to us that you couldn't hurt a protective suit zombie normally. Which is why the writers depict them showin this to stress that the zombies are relatively protected in these suits. It's a writing mechanism of foreshadowing.Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
With numbers going up every season, you'd think AMC would give them a little bit more money rather than cutting their budget the past two years.
That said, I don't actually notice on-screen that their budget has been cut. All the more to give props to everyone involved with the show.Comment

I hope it does get the max amount of money because I'd hate to see the quality drop because the execs aren't funding it properly.GT: Herkyalert

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
It all depends on what AMC is spending on other shows. HBO killed off Deadwood because Rome was expensive, and then Rome was canceled for the same reason later. I don't think The Walking Dead will be in trouble, but if AMC is spreading money around the oldest show will probably get the shaft.

Besides, HBO is a different beast compared to AMC.Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
I'm one of the households caught up in the Dish Network/AMC dispute. Thank God I can watch the season on Amazon. Great premiere. OSUFan hit it on the head when he spoke about the character development.SpoilerI love seeing Rick go from being a reluctant leader to a straight-up BOSS. I also hated to see Hershel get bit. Great tension and drama. I can't wait to see what happens next.XBL: Mean Greene
