Exactly why Rick tackled one and, if I recall correctly, went right back to killing other walkers and locking up the fence before focusing on the armored ones.Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
The more I think about it, the more I don't understand why they spent a whole winter going "around in circles" when in the finale it seemed like they were a stones throw from the prison.
While driving on the roads, would they not have seen a sign that pointed them to the prison?
I think they knew how to get to the prison but there were too many herds to get through and were also merging with other herds. I can see how that can be a problem if they attracted huge herds that they couldn't handle or escape from.Comment

I don't think they knew there was a prison.
Seemed they were surprised to come upon it.
I agree there should have been signs to direct them but I guess it's like a horror film where characters don't use their cell phone.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
I'm sure they knew there was a prison since they were looking right at it and the end of last season.
They had a map and had circles at all the entry points but all the trouble they had was the huge herds and had to keep going in circles to avoid them or go around them. If I remember from the comics that walkers moved slower in the winter so I can see how these huge herds could had blocked all the passage ways and just stayed there instead of moving along.Comment

I am of the belief that it was not as close as the view made it seem - especially in winter, dealing with herds of zombies. 9 months and no idea it was there is slightly far-fetched, yes, but it's nothing that screams plot hole to me.
EDIT - while not as much of a "Forrest" as I remember, I certainly don't think they could see it or had any idea it was there at the end based on this shot:

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
It wasn't a map for the prison, it was a road map of the general area, they kept talking about herds grouping up blocking those roads they wanted to take. Plus, they didn't make clear how wide of a radius they were travelling either. Totally plausible that they were working a county wide radius and could have easily skirted the prison without coming across it.HELLO BROOKYLN.

I enjoy that we're arguing logical gaps in a show where the dead have risen and are eating people.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Only those who truly enjoy it look for little tiny flaws and details to try and make sense of it.
Plus...what else we got to talk about?

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
Can someone explain to me how you contract the virus, more specifically how do you actually turn into a zombie.
Ive seen every epsiode,
I played every episode of the game,
And Ive read every issue,
And it just isnt consistent.
So everyone is infected right? Regardless of contact with walkers? We'll assume it is airborne, or the afterlife is full, or whatever; thats insignificant.
So when you die, you turn, regardless of scratches, bites, contracting zombie stds etc. So why the morbid reaction to the bite that (i forget the farm owner's name) got during the combing of the prison? What exactly are they afraid of that Rick has to go ape **** and hack it off as soon as possible?
From the constructs the show has presented thus far, wouldnt hacking the leg off prompt his death thus prompting his turn? Its like one moment the universe of the show want to hold up zombie tradtion of you get infected you turn, then they change it up and say everyone is infected anyway. I just dont get it.
TL DR: If everybody is infected and turns when they die, why would they be so afraid of minor zombie bites or scratch wounds (wounds that we can assume wont kill the injured person).Last edited by kingkilla56; 10-18-2012, 09:32 AM.Comment
