Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)

I'd like it if about 20 seasons in, about 14 minutes into a random episode old man Rick kills a zombie, looks at the camera, then says "Well, that's all of them. They're all dead."

And then it cuts to black. Show over.

I think that's gonna be the baby. Immune to zombies and he/she's gonna be trained my Michonne. Half human, half zombie. I don't think I'm ready for that.

A happy ending, like a here is the cure ending would do the show a disservice. Same with the comic.

And if the baby is immune...so what? It changes nothing. Still a billion zombies left. Wouldn't all babies be immune then? Does this make zombies explode if they get near an immune person? A baby surviving to adulthood would be a miracle.

Immuno-baby would just mean he/she can die without turning into a zombie. Getting bit by a zombie though, I dunno about that.

I totally wouldn't mind exploding zombies in season 12 though. I would assume we're already heading into camp territory by then.

If zombies were completely disinterested in immune people that would be very interesting. Like they are attracted to the virus in everybody.

But we've seen zombies attack animals but we haven't seen zombie animals thus far.

              That doesn't really make sense.

Remember during Season 1 Rick and Glen smeared zombie guts all over themselves and the zombie's ignored them?

I really think they operate on basic instincts such as sight, smell, and hearing (as exhibited this past episode and during the Season Finale of Season 2).

They also seem to operate on touch as well (because that was how Herschel ended having his leg chopped off. He disturbed the zombie and it activated due to the physical contact).

If any of those things are contradicted (such as smell) it causes confusion and they ignore it.

I do think smell and hearing is their primary mode of navigating towards potential food.

One thing I don't quite understand is, if they are all already infected with the virus, who does a bite or scratch make them turn? Like a non-vital bite will make them turn within a day or whatever, but why? The bite isn't infecting them, they already have the infection.

I'm probably just stupid and am completely looking past something obvious, but this has never made sense to me.

Remember when Jim from Season 1 got bit on the hand?

It caused him to have a fever, deteriorated his body to the point where he couldn't move, and he eventually died, all within 6-7 hours.

All the bite does is accelerate the process of you dying (and thus turning). Think of it like a poison if it helps.

Wasn't it in the chest? Because they like had to restrain him and someone else, Daryl I think, lifted his shirt to reveal the bite.

But, I'm not arguing your point. Just double-checking on the details.

Ah. I might have gotten confused because he was using his hand to hide the wound either way.

I know in the comics Jim definitely got bit on the hand.

Edit: It was his left arm.

Did I miss anything from the first episode that was important that might be mentioned down the road? I've seen the rest of them and if someone could fill me in then that would be great. I don't wanna watch a episode down the road and be confused or wondering when they had that convo or when that scene toom place.

I think you should just watch the episode. It's worth it.

I don't know where to find it. That cinema app I forget the name on xbox live has every episode but, the first one for some odd reason. So I figure there is no way for me to watch it right now. I want to watch it pretty bad but, I don't know the first place to start looking for it.
