Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)

    WOW what a episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lori went out in a way I don't think anyone expected. I am also not sure if Carl did put a bullet in her. I'm leaning to he did based on his recollection of his dad's speech to him in the barn. I would think that carries some significance, but you never know.

What is up with the Governor? I am confused by the wall of heads in the fish tanks. He comes off odd yet can't put a finger on his motives. Only thing that stands out is he doing anything at all cost to pillage supplies/weapons for their village. You can tell it goes deeper than that...........but what..........???

I know one thing, Season 1 was great, season 2 was boring to a degree, BUT season 3 has come back to entire new levels. Best show on television right now. My fiance' said, "I hate watching this show, it makes me soooo tense I feel like my heart is taking a strain." LOL she loves the show, but she gets soooo engaged

Disregarding my feelings about this, I wondered why Michonne didn't take on the Governors offer.

She could work closely with him. Learn how his men work. Figure out everything and then end it.

I honestly thought that's what would happen here. Then again, with Andrea wanting to stay longer, maybe she will come to realize this is her opportunity to prove to Andrea that the man can't be trusted.

That's it. I'm going out on a limb that Michonne will do what I wanted her to do since the beginning. Stop acting like a little bitch and pretend you like them so you can learn who they are.

Still thinking about that look on Carl's face after he "shot" Lori. I still feel that he didn't really shoot her and maybe is still mad at her about the entire pregnancy that he decided she needs to suffer more as a walker.

I think the way the writers have evolved Lori's character so much that fans have hated her, that it would only be fitting she comes back as a zombie.. Rick and the group stumble upon her, and Rick will finally get closure on his wife and her infidelity by having him finally kill Lori.

Did anyone else feel like Maggie was about to get bit by the baby as she was holding her? I was waiting for the moment the baby woke up and just go ballistic and become the zombie baby everyone was hoping for.

And did last night's episode confirm that the person watching Carol from outside the prison yard the skinny black guy that set off the alarms? Can't see who else it could have been...

I would have hated it if the made the baby a zombie. Would have been too cheesy.

But how is this baby going to survive without the milk from its moms teets?

As long as they don't turn it into this years search for Sophia! With the way this season is moving though I agree it won't take long to find resolution to that situation one way or another.

Yeah I was hoping they wouldn't go the baby walker route as well, even if it were born a walker the whole being a baby with no teeth thing would have made it biting someone impossible unless zombie babies develop teeth earlier on.

On the topic of survival I'll be interested to see as well, obviously going to need to find formula since the tap has been eliminated, I was actually thinking the baby might be stillborn just because its going to be pretty inconvenient having an infant around in the zombie apocalypse and figured that would give the writers the easiest out with it. But having to try and be quiet to keep walkers away while you have an infant crying for 11ty reasons will be a new dynamic to have to work with, I'm assuming this kid will grow up pretty quickly (guessing that by the time season 4 rolls around it will be a toddler at least if it makes it that far).

I really don't know what I did for The Walking Dead to play with my emotions like that.

That would've been waayy cheesy... that would be something the Syfy channel does (because they actually did just do it in their horrible B movie "Rise of the Zombies").

                    Man.... that episode was epic.

I think from the birth of the baby, this will then spawn such reference materials as the "Idiots Guide to Child Rearing in a Zombie Apocalypse", "How to: Not get your baby eaten by Walkers", and/or "Zombie Apocalypse Child Rearing for Dummies".

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)

Even if you disagree with the article and consider last night to be one of the best bits of television you've ever seen, I'd suggest reading this.

                      Snippet:
As a TV fan, I wasn’t unhappy to see Lori Grimes go. And the atrocity of it all brought out the best in the normally wooden Andrew Lincoln and certainly made the burden on young Chandler Riggs — who, thus far as an actor, has proven to be all hat and no cattle — even greater. But the exact way she went out was an even greater bummer than the irritating scold the character had become.

Lori’s final words to Carl, before sacrificing herself in front of his young eyes, sounded to me like an unnecessary apology, not a loving good-bye. “It’s so easy to do the wrong thing in this world,” she moaned. “If it feels wrong, don’t do it. If it feels easy, don’t do it.” What she was referring to, of course, was her utterly reasonable decision to bed down with Shane, a trusted and caring family friend, amid the looming horror of the end of the world. Her ongoing guilt and suffering for this is and has always been outrageous; surely a reality in which burying a machete into a man’s widow’s peak is a heroic act can forgive a little post-traumatic nookie. There’s a difference between the admirably unforgiving worldview Mazzara is trumpeting elsewhere and downright cruelty. There were plenty of reasons for Lori Grimes to die; it’s a shame that her capital offense turned out to be the simple act of being alive.
And I'd have a hard time arguing this. As emotional as Lori's death was, and as great a bit of television it felt like it was in the moment, I'm not sure her story was done. In hindsight, it feels sort of premature.

So who else thinks Baby Grimes holds the key to a walker cure? Far as we know, he/she is the first baby successfully born post-outbreak and whose blood could have the anti-bodies to fight the disease.

And I totally agree that Lori's story may have ended prematurely. I don't think it takes away from how powerful that episode was, though.
