    Re: The Bourne Legacy

Awesome, my mom was telling me they were filming in Manila Philippines last month, so I'm excited that will be a location. I wasn't sure if this was true or not but one of the places in Philippines is in El Nido where me and my family are going to start building a hotel there by the end of the year. So hopefully this will help with exposure!

EDIT: Looks like they finished up shooting the movie just 6 days ago there in El Nido, can't wait to have everyone in the world see this place....its Paradise:

Damn, I'm just really glad that everything still completely exists in the same world as the previous Bourne movies. I thought that they were going to screw it up and just stick with a couple of familiar names (like Treadstone and stuff), mention a Jason Bourne, and have an entirely new cast.

However, on that same token, it showed Hirsch, Vosen, and Landy. The first two should have been arrested after the events in Ultimatum, so this leads me to believe Legacy is sometime during Identity and Ultimatum. That would also make sense with the part that says "There was never just one."

I'll be seeing this. I think Renner has filled out a lot since his days in S.W.A.T., especially after seeing him in Ghost Protocol.

          There day freaking 1.

And Jeremy Renner, man, what a run right now. Mission Impossible, Avengers, and now Bourne. Has anyone had that great of a run in one year?

Maybe you can hook me up since I live here and all....

On a more serious note, they've been shooting here for the past month and a half. Nice to see a big Hollywood production come this way since the last big one was Apocalypse Now if I remember correctly. For a place with notorious traffic though, the film certainly hasn't helped relieve any of that.

The trailer looks good but I still think Matt Damon is better for this franchise. Hopefully, a sequel comes out where we see Bourne (Damon) and Renner's character face off.

              No Matt Damon = sad.

This will probably be a rental for me.

Absolutely bro! I'm actually looking to talk to people who have moved to or lives in the Philippines since it will be a new environment for me. Actually as soon as things get going (end of 2013 or begining of 2014) anyone here on OS will get hooked up. Its nice to be your own boss.

I think the Philippines should be a spot to consider more often when shooting for hollywood movies in the future since most of the country can speak English. Especially if its a jungle/island setting.

As for Renner, I think he's great. He's been solid performer since Hurt Locker and I think its going to happen that Damon and him will face off in a future movie.

It looks intriguing, but I don't understand the point of the Bourne license without Jason Bourne.

It looks like Shooter inside the "Bourne" universe.

I'm iffy on it. Maybe it's because of the books, but they're just further butchering the series. And I loved all three of the real Bourne movies.

Now if there's a sequel where it's Damon and Renner hunting each other like a Bourne/Carlos the Jackal story from the books, I'd be for that...but this one alone I just don't know about.

I can't wait for that. Even though Damon isn't in it, I love that they're keeping a lot of the other characters. Definitely a must see for me.

Just saw the trailer. I am now looking forward to this. Renner is starting to come into his own. Looks to be a strong lead to take over the franchise.

I was wondering about this myself.
The movies are almost completely different from the movies that I figured they would reboot the series using the storyline from the novels. The stories are so different you could make an even cooler trilogy with Renner.
