Damn. Despite her history this is still a shocker. Her performance of the national anthem is what my mother (and myself) have judged every performance of it since. RIP, Whitney.

Just saw the Superbowl national anthem. Her voice was beautiful.
          RIP

I'm sick to my stomach right now. Can't believe it. May the good Lord give her family some peace right now.

Word of advice: Don't watch CNN for coverage on this because the anchor is terrible.

I wonder what kind of tribute The Grammys are gonna try and throw together for her.

Even though a situation like this isnt a surprise or unexpected, it is always a shocker to hear.

Why should there be a tribute? This is someone who apparently squandered her talent and traded it in for her eventual demise.

I know I'm gonna get **** for this, but I just don't understand honoring people who have not respected what they had/worked for, let alone their life. Look, if this was caused by something other than her own doing, I'll be the first to apologize. But if this was someone who didn't have any star power, there would be no tribute on a grand scale.

It wouldve been a total different story if she never met BB.
It is usually a shocker for this type of situation because people remember someone like her for what she was NOT what she became

I understand where you are coming from, but you don't know what kind of inner demons some of these people are fighting with. Drug abuse is something that you just can't stop at the drop of a dime. It's a fight that you fight for the rest of your life.

Can't believe MTV refuses to bump the reprehensible "Teen Mom" for all-night Whitney coverage. That channel has lost its way.
