Re: Former Seinfeld Actor Shoots Self In Head Survives
So if someone is a drug user and alcoholic, but an "icon," it's not okay. If someone has a debilitating illness that has robbed them of leg functions, but is a nobody, it's okay. Got it.
(I'm not saying it's not okay to crack jokes, just considering the irony in it all.)
The "icon" argument was about something completely different that wasn't a joke at all.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Really? Every single time someone dies or comes close to dying?
And the same people starting the arguments?
Enough with this, guys. Stop derailing threads on purpose.
And yes it's on purpose because it's every single time. Next person that continues, we are handing out infractions for this crap.
End it.

I can't believe how calm he was in the 911 call.Comment

Why the **** would he call 911 anyway? Wasn't he trying to kill himself?

I dunno, maybe thought more about it and didn't want his sister to walk in on that scene? Cry for help? Who knows what was going through his head (other than a bullet).
It wasn't very...smooth...amiright?Comment

This made me pretty sad
Thread jokes aside (not condemning anything, I too believe everything is open game, sometimes humor helps in tough situations), but I feel for him and hope he can recover. I also hope he can get any mental help necessary along with the physical help he's already receiving.
EDIT: it's so strange because of his carefree character on Seinfeld. This seemed so unlikely, based on that persona. Maybe that just shows how good of an actor his is.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

I'm sort of interested in hearing about what made him so depressed and whatever to just want to end it all.Comment

Probably just tired of the whole situation with hospitals, being in pain, adapting to losing limbs, etc...Last edited by ImTellinTim; 02-24-2012, 04:47 AM.Comment

Re: Former Seinfeld Actor Shoots Self In Head Survives
He already lost a leg and was scheduled to have some toes removed a few hours before he shot himself. In the 911 call he mentioned he was not a "good diabetic" indicating he wasn't following a good diet and exercise regimen. He might have also been doing the worst thing many diabetics do-drink alcohol.Comment

This is my favorite scene of his from Seinfeld:
Oh, damn. I've locked myself out of my office again. Oh well. I'm going home.

To me it's crazy that he's talking on the phone, remembering addresses and phone numbers, after shooting himself in the head at point blank range with a 38 Colt.Comment
