Personally i think i know exactly where you should stop reading, as most believe the season will end on a certain event, but i'm sure you'll realize when it will be, and the anticipation to read what follows will keep you going

I certainly understand that. I watched season 1 blind and loved every intense crazy moment. After that I read all the books, and it definitely changes the viewing experience. I still love it, but I have a few friends that did the same thing and have regretted it because they say it has ruined the show for them because they are constantly comparing every little detail in their head.

I think it was partially that there were so many new characters introduced this season that they wanted to hold some back just for the sake of not having 100 new characters for season 2.

That is a good point I just couldn't imagine waiting 2 years to read A storm of Swords, Another two for Feast and Dance, and then probably another two for Winds of Winter (yet given how slow Martin writes, I may be waiting two or three years for that book anyways.)

Don't read it yet, Leon. Just wait and be surprised (and you will be) the next two seasons. The books will still be there to read afterwards.

And yes, I'm sure if season 3 ends there and I read up to that, it would be impossible to NOT read what's ahead.

Interested to finally get to meet Mance Rayder. Is he not featured in book 2?

I think it'll be infinite sorrow after the finale. Where have the past 10 weeks gone?

Sadly excited. This has been pretty good despite my issues with some changes. They have done a great job with Theon, Tyrion, Arya this season.

For all my gripes, I really enjoyed this season, and will be buying the blu-rays day one.

Being only 10 episodes makes the Blu-rays very affordable compared to other shows too.

The season has really flown by, so fast.

I have some complaints this year, but as a whole still excellent television and I was gripped to the TV for an hour every Sunday night and couldn't wait for next Sunday.

Also worth noting that tonight's episode is a meaty 64 minutes (about 10 minutes longer than the usual run time).

I've been so impressed with the acting on this show. Especially the young actors Jack Gleeson and Maisee Williams that play Joffrey and Arya. I've been watching some interviews with Jack Gleeson and he seems to be a nice kid and plays probably the most hated character in TV history. Kid deserves an award and look forward to future projects he does. He makes Malfoy from Harry Potter look like a teddy bear.

I find it ironic that I don't hate Jaime Lannister even though he's a sister banging attempted kid killer. He's whitty and a survivor and I find his motives are to protect his loved ones, not selfish and power hungry like Cersei.

Yeah Jaime is one of the most interesting characters in the series because although he's done tons of awful things, he always has an interesting defense of his actions and is so witty that I can't help but enjoy seeing him on the screen.

I'm watching The Prince of Winterfell and Blackwater right now to prepare/pass the time before tonight's episode. Filming everything on location for this show may be costly, but it's a genius decision. The Iceland scenes in particular are all gorgeous.

I get split on the Lannister's also. Don't like Cersei or Joffrey, but I think Tyrion is awesome and don't have a problem with Jamie, especially after his humor this season. I like Twyin also since the scenes with him and Arya were great. I never though I would say it after season 1 but I was rooting for the Lannister's to hold King Landing against Stannis.
