Just caught the episode, really good one. The two versions of Rains of Castamere during the show and at the end were really nice touches. As much as I hated it in the book, I'm looking forward to a certain scene where we should hear it again.

I'm a little surprised they played it at the end because it would be perfect at the end of the episode that features what you are referring too.

That's why it will be great when they play it again, you'll make that connection.

I thought it was great that they used it in this episode. In the brothel scene, and then you here it during the end credits after the Lannister victory, which is what the song is about.

Also, downloading Crusader Kings II right now ($10 on Amazon). Can't wait to try the GOT mod.

Had it running last night and it is awesome. I'm playing as Roose Bolton and I've already been called to war by Ned (who won't give me money with my army levies maxed out!).

I also bought the GoT soundtrack and converted all the songs to .ogg format and put them in the mod folder. Now when the game starts it starts to the shows theme (which is SUPER fired up!) and during the game the soundtrack shuffles and plays different songs. Makes it that much better!

Clearly, Theon is a scumbag. And Jon Snow may look like a nerd, but he still knows NOTHING.

Can anyone tell me what scene/story from A Clash of Kings was added to the season 1 finale? It's always bugged me when people mention that since I haven't read ACoK (though I'm about to after the season ends).

10 extra weeks for the season finale.

While a typical episode clocks in at 54-55 minutes, the final episode, “Valar Morghulis” will run 64 minutes. Most DVRs should have the capability to pick up on the unusual scheduling, but if yours is as clunky as mine I’d keep an eye out just in case. That extra ten minutes certainly isn’t enough to make up for the next ten months of no Game of Thrones at all, but I’ll take it.

Also, the Night's Watch leaving was moved up. Mormont tells Jon they are going beyond The Wall like in the show, but there is a chapter in ACOK where they are still at Castle Black before they leave.

Beric Dondarrion was cast in Season 1, will he be recast?

It looks like it. He only said like one line in season 1, so I don't think the actor that was cast in season 1 was for a significant role like in season 3.

I'm very happy with that casting list. Can't wait for The Blackfish.

Hooray for a longer running-time, but it'll be quite interesting to see how they wrap this season up. After Blackwater being such a self-contained episode, there's a lot of stories to jump around with.

At least I have the book to look forward to during the hiatus. Then it's another battle of "Should I go ahead and read A Storm of Swords?!?!?"

I don't know man. I really like going into the season totally blind and ready to be surprised.

Maybe I'll read half of it. But then I'd realize it was a bad idea and I'd end up reading the whole thing. So, we'll see! I'm sure I'm strong enough to resist...
