Both the second book and the series are outstanding, but there is definitely a great deal of change between the two.

The major plot points are all the same, but there is a stark contrast in how those plot points get from "Point A to Point B".

I thought tonight's episode was great. I can't believe season 2 is almost over though. Wish we could have seen just a little more of Robb's girl, Jeyne, though. I'm a sucker for really dark-haired brunettes like her, especially when nekkid.

Re: Game of Thrones Season 2 (aka A Clash of Kings)

So I just got back from vacation, watched last week's and tonight's episode, and thought they were great. I love the little things like Brienne and Jamie, Robb and Catelyn, Tyrion delivering his line (and the hope that Roz is gone for good!), Arya and Tywin, Arya and Jaqen, The Hound showing he's not like his brother and some of his motivation
            Spoiler
, really liked Stannis and Davos as the actor for Stannis is growing on me which is good...

...but I don't like Jon and Dany. They are obviously forcing Jon's story in a half assed way (the book version was better though I know why they are doing it

, so I'm just going to wait and watch.

Oh, and I still don't like the character change from Jeyne Westerling to the smoking hot Talisa from Volantis. Damn Oona Chaplin is amazing!

Funny that GRRM wrote next week's episode, the big battle, which you'd think would be the easiest to write. Even funnier (or better?) is that he's already written the sixth episode of next season.

cant wait till next week's "Blackwater" episode

George RR Martin wrote the episode (only episode this season that he wrote) and HBO spent an extra 15 mil on the battle

So...that's one thing Robb knows more than Jon now. What're the odds of Robb trading that very beautiful bridge for the very, very, very fine Talisa? I'd say as much as Joffrey acts like a little prick.

I really liked all the storylines in this episode - everything felt like it was moving forward. I can feel that big things are going to happen over the last two episodes (NOOOOO!!!!).

Tyrion's line towards Cersei....chills! I think that's the most badass Tyrion moment by far.

I'm conflicted with Theon again, but in a good way. While my assumption was correct, - those kids weren't Starks - it never crossed my mind that he would set the whole thing up like that. I just thought they found random kids and killed them to be passed off as the Starks. Clearly, Theon may not be lost just yet. Yara (Asha) totally owned his *** in the dinner table though.

But even that didn't go as he planned.

Quite sure that was the first time we've seen a romantic love scene on this show as well.

Now, where are the gods of tits and wine? I'm sure HBO knows.
