What is all this love innuendo with her Blood Rider? There is the little love connection with Mormont but Dany doesn't appear to be nearly as heartbroken over the loss of Drogo when she is batting her eyelashes at her blood rider (was it Jhogo?) Just a little thing that soured me from episode 1.

Loved that first episode of season two, such a kick *** show!

I purposely have held off reading the other books so each week is filled with surprises. Can't wait to see what this season has in store.

the only thing I didn't like about the first episode was Daenerys' weird connection with the one bloodrider. I don't remember anything like that happening in the book. I know the show will take some liberties where the book did not, but I felt like the Daenerys story line was just fine as is.

I agree. To me it kind of popped up out of nowhere. Drogo was pretty much THE Dothraki dude and the only one that came close in her eyes. At least that's how I thought she felt. Personally, I think Jorah in the scene would have made more sense.

She wasn't sending Jorah to his probable death. I don't think there was anything romantic about it.

Yeah that bit was kinda weird. I was like 'we barely even saw that guy in season one now they are making blood of my blood comments and giving each other the sexy eye?'.

Having not read the books I'm interested to see how that red headed priestess woman was able to drink that poison and keep on trucking like a boss when the old guy dropped like a stone.

Rakharo had stuck up for her when her brother was harassing her, was friendly and by her side for a lot of season 1, and stuck with her when almost all of the kalesar left. She was just realizing that she was possibly sending him to his death.

Magic for sure. There's a reason why Whitewalkers are back; direwolves are south of the wall; dragons being born. Also, notice how her amulet/necklace glowed bright during that scene?

And no, I haven't read A Clash of Kings in case non-book viewers are wondering if I just spoiled anything.

After re-watching Season One, and the final (?) scene with Syrio Forel, I had a thought:

I was thinking that since we never see Syrio die, maybe he shows up to the House of Black and White, asking for the gift of death. Arya, now an apprentice, who of course deceived the Kindly Man into believing that she's forgotten who she is (by warging into the cat to regain her sight), sees him, converses, and then decides to get her revenge by realizing she'll never be a Faceless Man. In the process of coming back to Westeros she reunites with Nymeria, and then pity the Frey or Lannister that gets in her way.

Really don't remember Stannis getting it on with Melisandre. I guess it is the shows way of you showing Stannis going all in with the one god? I think it makes Stannis look weak but thats just me.

Also super disappointed that Damphair didn't meet Theon when he arrived on the Iron Islands. Where are his uncles?

I think it was kind of hinted at but never confirmed. Kind of makes sense if you consider what she is going to be doing very soon.

I don't think any of Theon's uncles were cast this season.
