I posted this in a Madden thread, thought I'd post here since I'm not sure I ever posted my build that I did last fall..

I have the same case, glad I switched it, so easy to build and the air flow is amazing.

I also bought some white cord covers and wires to complete my white and black setup but I been slacking big time.

yeah I had planned to get some more white in there but never really got around to it, LOL. maybe someday.

So two days strong with no EVGA Precision XOC and no stuttering or dropped frames. Now Greg did make a point which could of been my issue. I've had AB installed since week 1 of the build, so putting in EVGA XOC might of caused some type of conflict between the two. I'm not sure, but I do know, no XOC equals smooth gameplay.

Can you install EVGA XOC, change your lights, uninstall it and then the lights stay the same? Or when you uninstall the EVGA XOC do the lights on the card go back to some sort of default?

I'm not really into the side panels and colored lighting to be honest. I've always liked clean/minimalist lines for my cases, so I never messed with any of the lighting stuff, Sorry man.

I love the case but I absolutely am into the open, viewable side panel and lights. I think it's three things:

1. My age, I'm 48 and I come from the era of the cream colored boring as hell desktop that honestly was less exciting than watching paint dry.

2. I'm artistic and love color.

3. All my life, for whatever reason, I've always been intrigued by lighting, I have experimented with lighting, been into the Hue lights, the strip lights, under the media lights, lights on speakers, lights under your car, everything

Also, I have invested heavily in internal lighting, I have the Corsair Pro RGB lighting and light up my computer like red, white and blue for July 4th, Red & Green at Christmas, etc. My friend who helped me build it said the computer was secondary, I really built it for the light show, LMAO!!

So great choice in case, it does look nice, but if that was my case I'd be at least putting some RGB lighting underneath it for a really cool and colorful vibe.

Actually now that I think about it I could do that for mine as well...Hmm....

Can you install EVGA XOC, change your lights, uninstall it and then the lights stay the same? Or when you uninstall the EVGA XOC do the lights on the card go back to some sort of default?

I've an "open case" only because I leave the side panel off lol. Having never messed with or cared for lighting before, mainly because I didn't have anything with RGB lighting, I did set my fancy new EVGA RGB lights to "breathe" red.

My monitor sits in front of my PC so I don't even see inside unless I'm standing/walking to my desk.

Anyway, to answer your question, my the settings definitely did stick after uninstalling XOC and going back to AB. My GPU is still breathing away without the EVGA software.

Yeah those lights would annoy me seeing it strobe like that out the corner of my eye. I have the 212 cooler, but I have 2 fans on mine, it works better with 2 fans.

Lights lights and more lights

Just FYI, my desktop isn’t a desk tower. It’s udneeneath the desk and illuminated underneath my desk beautifully. I see nothing unless I’m scooted back or looking at it.
