Like I said, I know plenty will be against it, but I was basically paying a premium for convenience and getting it now. I had a limit I was going to pay. I'm not going to pay $1,500 for a marked up 3080, but if it's only going to cost me an extra hundred or two, like it did, then I saw it worth it, personally.
I personally think my time was worth more than a couple hundred bucks, so I would rather pay that for the card now rather than wait potentially months down the road. The supply could ramp up and make me look dumb a month from now, but scalpers were going to be out there regardless of my purchase. Someone else would have bought the card if I didn't. The responsibility to stop the bots to slow the scalping lies with these companies. While I think scalpers are crappy people for the most part, all of these companies that do the minimum to prevent it from being a problem are where the issue truly lies, imo.
