Not sure what to do with controllers

I kinda want to go wireless with the 360...anyone have issues with the wireless adapter? Just some of the reviews of them are pretty down on those things (also says the drivers are way out of date)

I know I could do a corded one, just hoping to avoid cords if I can

Also I have a PS3 controller but don't like the feel of it to be honest..

    What's your experiences

Never had an issue with my wireless 360 controller/adapter...curious to know what the negatives were though...

Just read some of the low scored amazon reviews

While I do take some reviews with a grain of salt, I just dont know how this works so I'm asking in particular

I saw the long list of what one had to do to install drivers and it looks like a chore compared to most.

Extremely easy man, extremely. I've never had an issue other than when the batteries ran low, it would lose signal occasionally. Definitely go for it.

            Thanks

Unless I can find that thing in a store, I might end up getting my pc today via fed ex

The more I thought about it too, I just might end up getting more games on the pc, than on the consoles, especially since they're cheaper... who would've thunk it!

That's because you are looking at 3rd party dongles since MS decided to stop selling them without a controller. They are the same thing, just not immediately recognized so you have to tell windows what they are.

Only option to get the official one is to buy the wireless 360 controller for windows. You could also try to get MS support to sell you a replacement, tell them your dog chewed up the old one that is out of the warranty period and see what they say.

Do you guys usually buy discs or DL from Steam or somewhere else?

                    Digital and mostly on Steam/Amazon/Origin.

With Amazon most of the time they give you a code you can redeem in Origin or Steam.

Ok... I signed up on steam last night

Windows 8, I had like half an hour with it. Def takes some getting used to. I tried opening IE twice and it crashed both times, so I just DL Opera and moved on. Can't stand IE

                      Anyway, I thought 2k13 was 19.99? It's 29.99 on Steam

Didn't get to do anything and haven't figured out what to do about a controller yet so since it was so late I couldn't play anything if I wanted to... it is sweet hooking the thing up via HDMI though.

could always wait for a steam sale for the price to drop, or typically around the end of the month they have a sale on it as well.

Christmas Steam sales are insane, I would wait for those then load up. As far as my PC build goes, it's gotta wait until Friday. I do not want any time constraint such as bed time to get in my way, i expect this build to take a while and I want to take my time.

Buy whatever is cheapest, with steam games especially retail discs can just be thrown away since you just input your steam key and let it download.
