I am a complete and total nerd, so I typically will keep my old pc as a spare in case anything happens then you have a backup... most people I know sell off the spare PC on craigslist... there are also some places where I live that will buy your old pc from you and either part it out or resell it.

Nice. I'll prob just give it to my mom...she's rocking a old computer right now. a pentium 4 i believe. lol.
Just ordered for pick at microcenter the extreme 6 mobo with i5 3570 processor for 240 isn. not bad i think! anyone recommend a video card? i dont really do gaming but i want something pretty decent and willing to pay 200 for it. all i need now is the 840 pro to drop alittle more and a case/ps and i think should be goodComment

been reading bout video cards. seems that 660 sc is a really good dea for around 215-225. hmmm.
i'm thinking of getting this power supply. its pretty cheap on newegg now. would it be powerful enough?

As far as it being enough...it depends on what you want to do. For light gaming and general use that would be more than enough, but if you want to overclock or have a higher end graphics card like the above poster said you want better one.Fan of....

for a vid card, thinking about getting a 7850 or a 7870 since they have that deal now with 2 free games. what do u think? or should i man up and get a 7950? i dont really game much...but i dont really wanna update my video card for several years.Comment
