    Thanks!

I've been accumulating a lot of games on my Steam wishlist so far. I basically added all the Total War games - RTS is my PC jam.

Halo and Forza are up there, too.

    Has anybody played Control?

      FT:

If you're gonna jump on an Elder Scrolls game most of them are on-sale right now through Steam. They come on sale all the time though. I've been playing Elder Scrolls Online and it's a good bit of fun.

You seem like a pretty intelligent person that likes history so there's a lot of RTS, strategy, etc. type games you might love. I'm kind of a simple person so I play Civ 6, but a lot of people love the Parodox games such as Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron. They are a bit overwhelming for me.

If I was making a quick list of some games I've liked playing on PC:

      - Civilization
      - Divinity Original Sin II
      - Diablo 3
      - Planet Coaster / Two Point Hospital / City Skylines / Prison Architect.
      - Arma 3 /Post Scriptum/ Squad
      - The Witcher 3
      - Final Fantasy XIV
      - NBA 2K for the College Basketball mod.
      - Draft Day Sports CFB

I can't decide on any of the Elder Scrolls or Fallout games. I played them a bunch on PS3/PS4, but obviously mods are a big thing with ES. What kind of mods are available? Is modding "easier" now with Steam? I loved the Thief Guild in Oblivion and Morrowind - how does Online compare to the single player games?

Civ 6 is definitely at the top. Disco Elysium definitely has my interest as does Control. Titan2 and BF: BC are definitely affordable. Honestly, some of the "simulation/building" games caught my attention: Planet Zoo, Cities, TABS, Beseige, Planet Coaster, Space Engineers, etc.

And then there's racing. Oh and classic Splinter Cell.

        I feel overwhelmed almost haha.

Anyway - with the game-play release of EA's Star Wars Squadron some of us were wondering what kind of setup would be necessary for various levels of immersion.

Is there a good flightstick you guys recommend? And a wheel/pedal combo for racing games? Is VR worth the investment?

+1 for two point hospital and Cities skylines.

I'll also throw in rimworld. If you like basebuilding/simulation games it's pretty fun.

Elder Scrolls online is very different than the single player games of skyrim and oblivion. It's a mmo. Personally I'd recommend ffxiv when it comes to current mmos, but I lot of people still play ESO so hard to argue against

MMOs aren't typically my cup of tea. I know some people who run around on Sea of Thieves, though.

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread

Canceled my "pre-order" of the Secret-Labs Titan. While most youtube reviews raved about it, I couldn't help but notice how many of them got the chair for free or had an affiliate link in the description. It does seems that the chairs are still reviewed well in general, but I found a number of complaints on reddit and places like that that hit on my major concern after being extremely dissatisfied with the NeedForSeat Maxnomic chair a few years ago. The base seems to be just as firm as those seats were, not atypical of gaming-chairs, and I just didn't want to risk a $400 investment for something that I wouldn't want to actually use.

I bought this chair off the recommendation of a friend last week. It arrived yesterday and I have to say it's quite comfortable. Perfect amount of butt support, pretty good lumbar support, and the neck support is a nice feature. Unfortunately it won't be going into my gaming-office as it doesn't really work for how I like to use my chairs in here. The neck support works great when you're working and need a quick respite, but it's not so great when you want to lean back to watch a movie. Also, the dimensions and material just aren't exactly what I want. Like a lot of people I like to cross one leg underneath when I'm just casually gaming, reading, or watching tv, and the base of this chair is too short for me to do that comfortably. Even if it were a bit longer I don't think I'd really like it as the material ends up biting into my skin unlike a cloth or leather chair would. Still, it's really good at the primary tasks of a chair so I'm going to move it into the "work" room.

So....the search continues. We have a local pc gaming bar that uses DX Racers. They were actually very comfortable the few times I've sat in them, but I do wonder if maybe they have just been broken in so much from extensive use. I was looking at Noblechairs, but they seem to be even more stiff than other chairs. I'm also looking into an AKRacing chair through Best Buy. My thinking is that if I don't like that one then it won't be such a hassle to return it like it is when ordering directly from some of these other shops.

What gaming mechanical keyboard do you guys recommend? Jump on board and built my gaming pc last night. Also, I currently have an iMac at home no PC so I’m having trouble downloading the windows media creation tool so I can put windows 10 on my build. Ended up ordering a USB stick with the key included for $20 on eBay.

I was looking over some stuff for the new refreshed Ryzen 3000 xt series processors.

I'm going to go ahead and pass to wait for the 4000 series for sure now.

Honestly the 3700x has been pretty grand at 1440p so I don't really need anything else right now.

I'm still surprised a majority number of people on steam are still using old hardware like the gtx 980 and below

+1 for this. It's what I sue too.

If I'm being honest it's more expensive than any keyboard should be, and I don't use half of the extra functions it has. If you don't mind spending the extra money though and you like the "click" of mechanical keyboards then it's a great choice.
