Anywho, with the new series.. I love Korra.. She has a temper and is fiesty.. This series seems like it's even more mature than the original series, with the anti-bending Equalist group.. Tenzen(Avatar Aang's son)'s kids crack me up and get a few good laughs out of me every episode.. Really looking forward to the rest of the season, especially considering I've never followed an animated series week by week like this, at least not since I was much younger..

Avatar: The Legend of Korra
Anyone been watching this? The first 3 episodes have been phenomenal.. The animation is top notch.. The original Avatar series was one of my favorite, not just cartoons, but favorite television shows of all time. It appeared as a children's show on the outside but had very grown up undertones and that's what I loved about it.. Every episode seemed to have a very powerful moment that just made you put life things into perspective.

Re: Avatar: The Legend of Korra
Absolutely LOVED the original series, and the new one, so far, has been just as great. This has become the new Saturday morning routine for us now.
I agree on the maturity level too. It's very cool how, basically 100 years later, we're seeing the affects of technology, etc.
I already can't wait for next Saturday and the next episode -

I too have been watching with my kids every Saturday. We loved the original. The Last Airbender has easily become my all time favorite series. It completely caught me by surprise how much I felt for the characters. I laughed and teared up during the first series.
The new Korra series is supposed to be a bit darker. So far, so good.

Re: Avatar: The Legend of Korra
I'm in love with it as well. The last three episodes have been awesome. I was a little worried that the main villain wouldn't be as exciting as the Fire Lord was, but this guy has the potential to be much better.
I also love the chi vs bending going on. The choreography is much better in this one. I'm exciting and hope the show has strong legs like the previous one did and that they branch out of this New Republic city a couple times to see how the world has changed.
Extra: Loved seeing Adult Aang, Sokka and Toffa in the dream scene this past episode.Comment

This series has been incredible.. The first season is coming to a close, I believe there's 2 episodes left.. The episode today was powerful and nearly had me in tears by the end of it, especially whenSpoilerLin went after the Equalist's airships and eventually Amon took her bending awaySpoilerDante Basco (the voice of Zuko from the original series)Last edited by DakkoN; 06-16-2012, 07:13 PM.Comment

Re: Avatar: The Legend of Korra
So I dont watch this series live and find other means to watch but I noticed the season finale airs tonight at 11pm. Whats with that? Id have though this series would be a primetime show (at least primetime nick).
Its the best show they run right now (may be biased since its the only show I watch on the network)Comment

Just finished watching the 2 final episodes.. Wow. So powerful, emotional, and satisfying.. What an unbelievable series that may have passed Berserk and tied or passed the original Avatar series as my favorite animated series.. Incredible.Comment

Re: Avatar: The Legend of Korra
An awesome season finale. The only thing i didn't like was that it was very standalone. They could truly have ended it like it was today and call it a series. It's so good I need more.
Now on the businessSpoilerThe revelation of Anon being Turlock's brother was insane.....it gave him so much more of a meaning seeing him come from back ground. It also explains why he's capable of taking people's bending away, he's gotten so far advanced on blood bending that he allows him to sever someone's ability to do it.
The combat as always was amazing. Getting to the end, I didn't like the way everything turned out, I also feel like they rushed it slightly, it wasn't bad but could of been better. Anon being revealed was awesome, but being defeated so easily by the Avatar who only has one ability now over the times when she had three abilities fully mastered......and retreating so easily........
On the Avatar herself, I knew she would get her powers back, she's the freaking Avatar, once she connected with the spirit world, it was inevitable that she get her powers back.
Overall awesome show and I truly hope it continues and we get a villain on par with the previous fire Lord and even Anon himself.Comment
