Just saw the finale. This show is so damn good it should be illegal. The best stories are the ones that get your emotions involved. And I'll admit the damn thing had be going all throughout, but especially at the end.

Can't wait till the next season.

Ok no more spoiler tags. Its been the whole season so....go watch it and come back to this thread.

Anyway, I know they can always write something and it will probably be amazing. But what made Avatar The Last Airbender great and last so long was the fact that Aang was relatively a moron in terms of his true ability. He only had airbending. And spent 60 episodes learning all bending, meeting so many lovable characters and animals, fighting so many bad *** benders and foes, etc etc etc. He had an epi c tale and adventure. Its wasnt until the last 4 episodes (and some splashes in flashbacks of Korra) that we saw him get crazy with the Avatar state.

Now in terms of Korra's tale, I didnt like how boxed into Republic city it was but it was only 12 episodes and I assume we have 10 more in this book. Plus she now has all bending and the avatar state this early in her legend. It just seems like no matter what is on the way, she can just demolish it since now she is as strong as the avatar should be. It is like Goku being a super saiyan in dragonball. Its just seems a little early and premature to be all powerful.

But hey, Im sure they have something good planned. What I really hope is that Korra leaves republic city soon. They hinted at this by bringing in characters from the rest of the world like General Iroh and General (Tenzin's brother?) so I will assume her duties will be required elsewhere.

And lastly to comment on Aman. If he didn't die in that explosion, it will sully the whole thing for me. Their relationship and the path they both took up until that point was very interesting and should be left there. Plus what does anyone have to fear from Aman now that Korra is all powerful (SS Goku fighting the Red Ribbon Army in Dragonball as an analogy)?

1 more book and 8 less episodes than AtLAB? Interesting.

Yeah but if I remember correctly the original avatar had some episodes that they could of went without and I considered "FLUFF" in the series.

My daughters and I have taken a break from the original series but now we're ready to get back in the groove. I'm at the part where they just picked up Toph -- she's a monster. I thought Katara was nice but Toph is a problem. Can't wait to see her in action -- I really want to see her and Katara go at it -- that would be a fight.

How is The Legend of Korra? I'm sure she on her ish...

Seems like I"m the last Avatar poster lol. Still chugging along -- now halfway thru season 3 -- Katara just learned blood bending.

Seriously, outside of the Avatar state, Aang couldn't handle Katara -- she is a monster for real now. I thought Toph learning metal bending was good but Katara's new technique is 'game over' status.

                        I'll stop rambling now....

Agreed, this season I'm really loving Korra's 2 cousins and the sort of split storylines they have going. Thought I read somewhere that the girl cousin is voiced by Aubrey Plaza? Don't quote me on that but it does sound like her.
